thistle4tw
To be honest with all the sack jackie comments going around just now despite them being complete overreactions they do have reason. If you view this season in comparison to mccalls first(which may be unfair who knows, the budget may be poorer) we are currentlly at the beginning of January too far behind county and too incosistent to promotion push and have had absolutely crap cup runs. with mccalls we were in the 5th round with the potential of a game against rangers away had a decent league cup run and the league wasn't as distant as it currentlly is. Now that may be null and void however to say a manager needs time to breed succes as the reason the season is realistically over on 7th January for me is not good enough. To be honest this thread is not meant to insight anything but the fact that jackie needs to improve next year. Now if we do go on to a promotion push I'll (first of all s**t myself) and then take my hat off to jackie but it depresses me that we are in this state in January. Roll on next season meh........ Jaggernaut
But then what to do when it's clear by the end of next September that we're again sitting in the middle of the league, out of one or both early-season cups, going nowhere......? Fctfano.

The difference is McCall was an experienced manager before he came in. McNamara had no managerial experience, so what did we expect. I feel that a new manager must be given at least a season, unless at serious risk of relegation.
