chunky jag
Apparently just collapsed with no-one near him, needed CPR on the pitch. I hope to god he's ok but it brings back the sickening memories of Phil O'Donnell and Marc Vivien-Foe

Jaggy1967
having just watched latest sky news report on the situation it must be extremely serious as you could see from their faces it was very bad. Â I fear family must be informed bad news before a statement can be made.

Lindau
Better news according to the ticker tape on Sky...states he is in a stable condition. Maybe a bit premature but what a great job the medics must have done on the pitch. Seeing it live, I thought he was a goner! MWM
I'm not into this grief culture that engulfs modern society, but genuinely really relieved to hear the guy is still alive.
lennythistle
Yeah news seems to be far more positive than most of us thought it would be. Been at many a game when a player has received a bad injury. It's never nice to see. Hope, though i never have to witness something like this at a football match. Lindau
Hope, though i never have to witness something like this at a football match. Â My brother in law is a Motherwell supporter and was at the Phil ODonnell game. Said it was terrible but most people that saw the incident knew he was dead before he hit the ground. He said it was surreal as the fans didnt know how to react..whether to cheer to give some encouragement or whether to stay silent. When I saw that tonight, I instantly thought of O'Donnell and Foe. Well done to the EPL in getting the medical side of the game stitched up. It has ultimately saved the young guys life

chunky jag
"Crituically Ill in ITU". Well you're not in ITU if you're well, so that's no suprise. But he'll have a ton of attention in there, worked in an ITU for 6 weeks, packed full of nurses and doctors.

lennythistle
My son was born 7 and a half weeks premature and spent his first week of life in intensive care. They are some of the most amazing people who work in there. He is in the best possible place right now and they will do everything for him.
