  1. I spoke to Chris at the xmas party last week. He stated he would not be going anywhere in January. He stated he has chance of two winners medals and wants to finish the job off. He would not speculate on his future in summer but stated if anyone came in from him (and Hibs rumour was doing the rounds) in January, he would refuse to leave. Now I appreciate he may just have said that to keep a fan happy but he came across as very sincere. Dools was also the same.
  2. Father in son pictured for May are lookers ! lol
  3. Sorry but i totally disagree. Jackie has gone on record as saying he wants the lads out of contract in the summer signed up but they are keeping their options open. It's therefore simple. Win the league and then we have a much better chance of the lads signing new contracts. To do that we need as strong a squad as possible. Craig has been a huge factor in us being top of the league. It is of utmost importance to sign him up. His experience will be vital in the coming months. Jackie has also repeatedly said he wants to keep Craig so it's no shock if we are in talks to sign him.
  4. Fox SOD, Muirhead, Balatoni, Bannigan Lawless, Paton, Forbes, Welsh, Erskine Craig Smith, Elliott, Sinclair, Archie, Dools Do not envy Jackie one bit when we get everyone available. I've left out a few regulars in squad and agonized over it. Strongest squad we have had in, well since i don't know when. Do not underestimate the influence some like Shuggie will be having on the training pitch.
  5. Welsh was in player zone today. He hopes to be fit for Morton game on boxing Day.
  6. It's called Ladioo. It's a German football song.
  7. I'm keeping my feet on the ground. It was only January that most of the same players were awful, a disgrace and should be sacked. There were also calls for Jackie to go. Of course this was knee jerk reaction to a cup defeat and people were hurting. Now less than a year later we are making comparisons to 71 side. For me a bit of level headiness is required. Yes things are fantastic right now and showing patience in this young crop is paying off. Always believed Jackie was good choice for manager but needed time to get the squad the way he wanted it and playing his way. a great deal of work has been done on the mental strength of the players, really getting them to believe in themselves. The summer signings have been fantastic. Like most i'm worried about Fox, but if Scully is to get his chance, lets get right behind him. Slagging him on forums and the like will do his confidence no good. He's made some mistakes in the past but he has also turned in Man of the Match performances to. January is scaring the crap out of me. Can we get through the month with the squad intact, can we add to it. Hopefully we keep everyone, add Craig, Forbes and maybe one more. Feel good factor around club is fantastic. I hope we can build on it and make this season memorable. I firmly believe we can.
  8. Just like to add my words of praise to all involved in One Thistle. As well as all those already mentioned who are making a superb effort, Tom Hosie is doing great stuff with the official site and the Face Book page. Given i bug him most nights asking if he has listened to a CD i gave him, its amazing he gets any time to do any work LOL. The player zone after games is a great place to be. It was packed on Saturday and the effort made by the kids, or in most cases their parents, in my case, my wife, was fantastic. Worthy winner was picked though i joked with Archie that picking a winner was going to be tougher than playing in the match ! JHS has been getting some stick that we don't join in the singing, at times rightly so. not yesterday. Great atmosphere in there. Just one plea to all of us in there though...when the shed sing "STAND UP FOR THIS THISTLE", lets all join in. It will be a worthy tip of the hat to the amazing effort being made by the singing section. I certainly won't forget saturday in a hurry. OH WHAT A DAY
  9. I think like Cairney, Chris will be offered a new deal. A lot will depend on how we are doing in the league as to whether he accepts it or not.
  10. PT. Aaron was in the player zone after the match. He said he was sore but OK. He was walking fine and was in great spirits. Lawless joked that Sally never touched him. I appreciate that since then , things could have changed but he seemed confident that no lasting damage had been done.
  11. Haven't read the whole thread so sorry if someone has answered this. 3 of them, abused Aaron when injured. That got the back up of quite a few of us. For my part I said a couple of things I should not have said with kids around (including my own), so sorry if i upset anyone. I did get a row off my son, who told me "not to shout at Nazi's" .
  12. 4 games when Suarez got 8. How they work that out !
  13. Did you say "paying off" their holiday credit card bills? LUCKY BARSTEWARDS!
  14. 1600 at Cappielow yesterday. Their support is in serious decline.
  15. you'd have done great if you did hear Lance. for the 3 games so far Michael Max has been announcer!
  16. don't think putting 20,000 volts through the Accies fans today would have lived them up !
  17. Yes they do if they have a season ticket.
  18. Not at our best but we improved as the game went on and our fitness levels were superb. Paton was awesome. Muirhead strolled the game. Welsh I thought was struggling till he scored then it seemed to just fill him with confidence. Shug a bit slow in passing the ball at times but stuck in. O'Donnell and Bannigan just don't stop. Fox had 3 superb saves in first half. Erskine tried his heart out but not his day. Biggest compliment I can pay Craig is Dools wasn't missed. Balatoni didn't put a foot wrong and Elliott never stopped chasing lost causes. Glad the lad who took ill is OK. Was worried for a while. Great singing from "SHED BOYS" Great gring from "SHED GIRLS" (just to please LMJ). Player zone jumping after match. Lots of very happy faces. Got some great pics of Dylan with Foxy and Shuggy. Beer time and enjoy the night. MON THE JAGS
  19. One of the problems in trying to get songs going back and forth is the NO SWEARING policy in the JHS for the futures/ultras. If we are going to get something going back n forth, it will have to be something like: Red and Yellow Army We ARE THISTLE STAND UP FOR THE THISTLE We need to keep it simple if we want to involve the kids. appreciate there is more than just the Future and Ultra sections in the JHS but think there may be more chance getting the family section involved first and build it from there.
  20. Seems a good few bought it hook, line and sinker.
