hamiltonjag
Becase some of us find the sycophantic fawning after a hereditary monarcy to be highly distateful. All paid for by us, the humble taxpayer. At last something we can agree on

GrantB
unlike king eck if he gets his way? Just because I believe in the cause of independence, it does not mean that I agree with everything Salmond does. This point seems to be difficult for the unionists to grasp. hamiltonjag
(off topic) Salmond is an electoral liability for the SNP imvho. I think he should stay.
GrantB
so why vote for them? he is the snp, the snp are independance, you can see why we think like we do I'll try and spell it out in as simple terms as possible... I vote SNP because they are the only party who stand for independence that have any chance of being elected. In an independent Scotland, I could vote for whoever I like (even Tory although we both know that wont happen )

I could say that the likes of Lamont and Davidson do more for the Yes vote than I could ever wish for. The Lib Dem is irrelevant. The Scottish unionist parties are in utter disarray.
