He's misjudged the bounce of the ball, Doolan is in behind him. Yes, Dowie may have caught him but that's pretty much irrelevant because the law isn't based on the offender being the last man; a one-on-one is certainly still a goal scoring opportunity. If it doesn't fall into denying a goal scoring opportunity, surely the sheer blatancy would deem it a professional foul? Dools is moving towards the goal, he would have had the ball at his feet and there is no more than one defender between him and the goalkeeper; sorry, but that equals a red card under the laws of the game.
