One Keeper Out. One Keeper In

"Glenn Daniels

Daniels has had to wait patiently to get his chance between the sticks since his arrival in the summer of 2011. The teenager left school in Belgium to sign for Birmingham City three years ago and in the process matured both on and off the pitch. Injury prevented his progress at the end of last season but he is still eligible for the U20 side, and the NextGen Series, so is still an option for both his Development Squad coaches along with those in the Youth Academy.

Robbie Thomson

The son of former Dunfermline keeper, Scott Thomson, Robbie has followed in his father's footsteps and pulled on the gloves. He has worked his way through the ranks at Celtic, learning his trade between the sticks. Injury kept him out of the U19s midway through their double winning 2011/12 season but he returned in time for the Youth Cup final in April. With the departure of Nick Feely and Dominic Cervi, Thomson has edged closer to the first team, but faces stiff competition from Glenn Daniels, the newest keeper on the books."

From Celtic website. Makes sense, get our keeper some game time hopefully and have another teams youngster in as backup - although it appears he is not even first choice in their NextGen squad with Robbie Thomson favourited.
