The Jukebox Rebel
Judas P W D L F - A Pts GD 20 12 4 4 44-20 40 +24 Archie P W D L F - A Pts GD 14 11 3 0 29-5 36 +24 Judas: 2.00 pts per game. Archie: 2.57 pts per game. A resounding case on whose mettle has actually won this title. I'm 100% sure Judas would have finished second. Thankfully, he f***ed off and we will score an £80K bonus. What a right result. Can Archie actually get us more points than Judas with 4 fewer games? What will our new record points total be? For the first time ever can we get more points in a season than both of the ugly sisters? (self edited update: actually it'd be the THIRD time ya clown) Hopefully we can keep it going and we have none of this end of season faffing around... we need six points from our last two games... jags on tour
cheers for posting that, I was thinking about their head to head record and thinking Archie's must be better. a red card stat would have been good!

In the 1901-02 season we got 31 points in the Second Division while Rangers and Celtic got 28 and 26 points in the First Division respectively. The Jukebox Rebel
jags on tour Posted Today, 08:55 PM cheers for posting that, I was thinking about their head to head record and thinking Archie's must be better. a red card stat would have been good! >>> Under Judas: 5 Red Cards in 20 League Games (1 in 4) Under Archie: 3 Red Cards in 14 League Games (1 in 5) Not good in both cases. Archie's goal difference record is amazing in comparison... Archie's GD: + 1.71 game average Judas's GD: + 1.20 game average

True. Although we played 22 as opposed to their 18 meaning we averaged less points. This time around we could do it truly and clearly... it's all to play for... Norgethistle
Looking further back we truly did it 1896/97 with 31 points from 18 in the old Second as opposed to Rangers (25 from 18) and Celtic (24 from 18). Doh Games were harder then played on a park nearly a mile long and the games were 4 hours each way, plus the players came directly from work after a 10 hour shift and returned directly to their work after the game, the goal nets were made of ships chains to stop neighboring buildings being damaged due to the old ball weighing a ton in the wet, moustaches were mandatory and alot of good young players failed to make the grade due to the fact they couldn't grow one
