Join us for a Night at the Races!

An equine extravaganza takes place this Friday, 8 November 2013, at the Community Central Halls, 304 Maryhill Rd. Doors open 7:30pm and first race is off at 8pm.

All Thistle fans, friends and neighbours are invited to get along and join in the fun!

Don’t worry if you can’t tell a thoroughbred from a donkey it all adds to the enjoyment and excitement of the evening.

Visit the bar to quench your thirst or lubricate the vocal cords for cheering on the winners!

TICKET £6 - includes a choice of fish or pie supper.

Pay at the Door!

Come along and place your bets!

Please note that all the horses have now been sold and races sponsored, so a big thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!

Sorry for the naive question, but what's then left for punters? Betting on individual horses?

Essentially, yes. The way a race night works is that you can bet on however many horses you wish in each race, the odds are worked out there and then based on the bets and you can walk out having had your dinner, a few drinks (hopefully a good time!) and have the same amount of money you started with!

This was our experience with thanks to horse number 7 John Baird!

Cheers for a good night! :)
