  1. They didn't give a million to a bunch of lying politicians, they gave their money to the only party that can deliver their desire of an independent Scotland. As for the Jags, don't be too quick to condemn them, i'm sure if he is a jags fan, and remember he lives in Largs, whose local team are also nicknamed the Jags (could be he was misquoted)then they will get around to us in their own good time.
  2. Reasons For Waiting - Jethro Tull
  3. Well spotted Inverkip.
  4. Davie, you make it sound like i say Beith on a regular basis, that was the first time i had mentioned it. It's only mentioned as my location as i live in the sh@thole. Anyhoo, East Kilbride.
  5. As an ex city end fan i agree, as for the rest of your post
  6. That's what i like about the unionist party's, they would never make cheap personal jibes at someone with a different view from themselves.
  7. This hasn't been one of our better A-Z games, X-Ray Spex had 3 top 40 hits, could have had, Xavier- Work That Sucker To Death. 1982, I'll put it out it's misery with. Zager And Evans- In The Year 2525. 1969
  8. It should read, Defending our Irish Traditions. Scotland at that time didn't have a sectarian problem between Protestants and Catholics (there had been at the time of the reformation, but in the 1830/40s there was relative calm between both sects) until the potato famine brought the bigots of both sides over in huge numbers. This resulted in the opening of Orange lodges and Hibernian clubs, where they could enlist uneducated and easily led Glaswegians to fight for their own cause. When Rangers fans sing "the famine's over, why don't you go home" they are showing their complete lack of knowledge and ignorance of their "History and Traditions", that the vast majority of their support would also have to go home, (Back to Ireland as Ulster didn't exist when they came over). If you try to explain the flaws in their traditions (by telling them of for example, William of Orange having the backing of the Pope and the Vatican) they go nuts, yet they refuse to look at any historical accounts or books. It makes me proud to say that i am a Jags fan and have no connection to their petty Irish squabbles.

  15. The mention of Johnny Flood Brought back memory's, shame his career was cut short, if i remember right it was against Morton at Cappielow that he got his injury, He was one of my favourite players of that time.I smile to myself when i read of attendance's at games from years gone by, like the one in this piece, 5,301 against Airdrie, i used to shake my head in those days and think, "we should be getting more in to watch us than this".I wonder if youngsters who are watching us now will bring their kid's in about twenty years time and say "i remember when we used to get 2,000 in here to watch us son". Only time will tell.
