  1. Mr Jackie McNamara decembers manager of the month according to the herald! http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/partick-thistle-manager-refusing-to-rest-on-his-laurels.16455210 To the ones that want him out - GET IT UP YOU!
  2. dont want to keep going back on this subject but if we where to move i would like to see a ground similar to this being built for us. http://www.conferencegrounds.co.uk/rushden_and_diamonds.htm
  3. I voted to go sadly, think firhill is becoming to big for us, we get average crowds of 2500 and have a staduim of over 10,000. I have just started a blogsite and my latest blog was on this subject as well. go to http://firhillshedboy.blogspot.com/ and have a wee read, feedback is welcome good or bad.
  4. Watching a bit of the rugby there on bbc 2 wales, they have the camera's in the main stand so you are looking out at the pitch and jackie husband stands, looks a lot better than when you are looking at the old empty main stand.
  5. This for our guests and the fact its now played at firhill There is always a great atmosphere at selhurts due to the fact the palace ultras are very vocal and organized and where do they sit/stand right next to the away section. There is plenty of videos of them on youtube, check them out.
  6. Remember this game well i fell over the wall trying to hold onto hardies top during the celebration for the winner. Love games under floodlights one of the reasons i dont want summer football nothing beats a cold day/night in the winter for a local derby and the crowd its pumped up cause there trying to keep warm. Fave Floodlight games. |There are too many to write down but here are a few. Although we got beat 4-3 at falkirk roundabout 94 think it was scottish cup replay and im sure john hughes scored from the halfway line with a free kick, it was my first trip to brockville and the atmosphere was great always was at brockville. The ayr game when we won the first division jamie dolan got sent off and we came from behind to win 2-1 with hardie again coming off the bench to score the winner. The game we should have beat celtic in league cup at parkhead - scott mcleans header was over the line but not giving and then we missed about 3 penalties to win the tie.
  7. The First game i went to was Partick thistle v Airdrie 23rd september 1989, the game was 2 weeks before my 6 birthday. thistle won 2-1 with goals from alex kennedy and john flood and a crowd of 5301 were in attendance, i still have the programme from the game my dad kept if for me as a memento of my first game.
  8. Doubt it, there playing in melbourne on july 13th so would imagine it would be a reserve side we face.
  9. Remember this game it was just after the cup defeat to hearts at tynecastle were we should have at least drawn the game. it was so cold think i had 3 teas and 3 bovrils during it. i remember when we scored all i could do was shout yeah was to cold and didnt want to take my hands from jacket pockets.
  10. Looking forward to next season already, a bit of optimism aswell and got a feeling were in good shape to mount a challenge for title, cheque book is coming out too for first season ticket since relegation to second division and also trying to encourage fellow family members and friends who havent been going regurlay for a few years to get one aswell.
  11. Just played on the firhill pitch and it's a lot bigger and in even worse condition than it looks from jackie husband stand so respect to the players for trying to play football on it. Just like to say that the firhill cup was a great idea and had a great time playing on the hallowed turf so big thanks to Stuart and Charlie for organising it and I'll be back next year if it's on. Also bigs thanks to jaggy mac and the players who took time out to talk to every player on the parks and have photos taken with fans sitting in the stands, that's what our club is about a great togetherness feeling like a family. Bring on next season hopefully under jaggy mac.
  12. the jags trust first game is at 1050.
  13. hope so looking forward to playing just ive got a two year old daughter and was wanting to bring her and got some friends and family coming along with young kids and its not really the weather for them.
  14. I hope this guy doesnt get the job but graham roberts was on talksport on friday afternoon and mentioned he has applied for a job in scotland and as we are the only club looking for a gaffer it looks like he applied for our managers job. Hope to F**k he does not get it! that would be like going ten steps backwards.
