  1. Don't think it will happen. As already mentioned, it will be watered down beer they will be serving, and would they need to create new serve areas, as the ques would be a joke if they didn't. I am quite happy to get a few pints before and after a home game with no need for an extra few inbetween. The only time I think it would suit is away games, where you generally drink more, or maybe that's just me.
  2. I realise that, especially when it comes to Thistle. It would be nice to mix things up a bit, although I would obviously rather it be at the other end of the table.
  3. The whole City End scenario was a shambles, as to be expected with who was running the club at the time. In regards to the safe terracing, I think it would great if it was allowed. The standing areas in Germany seem to work well, with no problems of overcrowding or crushing, and they are dealing with much larger crowds than what will be in the SPL. Would be good if it was introduced into the SFL too, for grounds that don't have terracing, although I realise that may be a needless, and costly expense. The main thing in the article is that Neil Doncaster is actually listening to the fans.
  4. We'll finish mid-table, predicted we would and it seems we're going that way. I think as well we are so used to being a yoyo team over the last 13 years, that we are all hoping to become stable and put in a challenge, instead we have become a steady mid-table 1st Division side. Some seasons I would take a relegation battle just so our season isn't over by January.
  5. As far as I'm aware they are. It;s all a conspiracy though. The Old Firm - Continuing to embarrass Scotland in Europe.
  6. I agree, I just think though this season with it being Jackie's first managerial appointment that a transition period may be needed to allow him to get up to speed, as we all know how hard it is to get out this league and it would be unrealistic to think about winning the league with an unexperianced manager. I'm hoping next year we can push on and challenge, because like you im tired of finishing mid table and not challenging for the title.
  7. Unfortunately it's the Thistle way to mess up now, the minute we're favourites we crumble. We should take 6 points from the 2 home games, but I feel we will draw 1, probably Raith, and up in Dingwall I would be estatic if we got a point. Don't want to burst peoples bubble, but I would be happy with a 4th place finish and something to build on for next season and the next few games will be a test without Hutton, who has played a big part in how we have played recently.
  8. The Norseman is a decent pub for what it does. As mentioned it serves a good pint and there is always a good bit of banter there, never seen any trouble in it. The pub itself I think is all right, I have certainly seen a lot worse, and the only really grim part of the pub I can think of is the stairs on the way up. The location (near the stadium - not Greenock) is big plus points too. It's these pubs that make good away days.
  9. The game is also on the 07/01/2012. Don't want you turning up on the wrong day. Hope you enjoy the game and the visit to a First class stadium.
  10. Totally agree. It's completely pointless opening the stand for the rest of the season, as even when teams challenging for the title roll into town, they will bring a maxium of 1500, probably way less if it's Ross County. Away fans would get a better view and there may even be a better atmosphere as fans might be able to hear each other singing. Don't see it happening Would be wary though in taking estimates from other clubs boards. Did Inverness Caley not ask our board how many fans we would take to a cup game a few years back(3-0 defeat), and they were given the answer of 600. I think it was more like half that, and Inverness weren't too pleased. I may be wrong on this, but I'm sure it happened.
  11. I think everyone is getting carried away here. Saturday was one of the worst results in our history and in the video I wouldn't say it was an overreaction, just fans venting their frustration at what I assume was a poor performance. No personal threats were made and no acts of violence, the worst shout was "that was a f****** disgrace", hardly offensive compared to some things said at the football. The whole think of the kids debate is getting irritating as well. As mentioned before kids hear a lot worse at school and will see grown men hurling abuse at Firhill every other week. If they were that worried they maybe should have have ushered the kids out the ground or moved to another area instead of standing there listening, probably just so they could moan about something.
  12. I think Tuffey's last outing was a 6-0 defeat to Celtic, surely it wont be long before he decides to move to another club, wether another club will take him is a different story as he has gone completely off the radar.
