  1. Bannigan has 4 goals in 16 starts and 2 subs appearances. One in 4 for a midfielder is pretty good going...
  2. campbell starts at right wing back, with fraser, mcgeough and mcgrotty on the bench. Hope McGrotty gets a run out.
  3. Chic Charnley for manager after he's finished his apprenticeship at Broadwood... On a side note: Are clyde still moving from Broadwood? When and where?
  4. Falkirk have managed somehow to increase their fanbase by around 2000+ as a result of their stint in the SPL. I remember 01/02 when they were gettin 1800-2000.
  5. Dud-dee and Dud-fermline: The side who has been on a 20 odd match unbeaten run, and the side that is destined for the first division title and promotion to the SPL...
  6. The offside decision a minute and a bit into the Cowden game given against Erskine...******* hell. He got paid to make that decision.
  7. as soon as we're three up, stick on campbell, mcgeough and fraser as they'll get a decent run out in a reasonable easy situation.
  8. Ayr until very recently didn't have enough players for a full 16, and so were listing very young youth team players to make up the numbers. Now Bannigan isn't even in the team, when we were hoping he might be in our first team next season, in the division above. MacBeth's break through season has been spent injured apart from 5/6 games. I'm just saying it's not the best. That's the point of my post.
  9. MacBeth - Recalled as he's injured again. Bannigan - hasn't even been starting for a very threadbare Ayr Utd recently. Unused sub today. Just incase anyone missed out on the opportunity for further gloom!
  10. Soccerbase actually still thinks were have both Kris' - Doolan and Doohlan. The site relies on people emailing corrections to them, and I did so about 3/4 months ago, but they didn't do anything about it.
  11. I don't have 24 hours, I have no hours. This is because I spend them studying so that my work is good, and so that I'm good at my job when I graduate (again). When I provide a good/service that people are expected to pay for, I'll make sure it is professional enough for me to justify the salary I take for it. Incidentally, if I had 24 hours, my article about Doolan, the QOS game and saturday's game would be the best article written about a thistle game this season. That's not saying a lot, though. Auchinless was a typo. Good thing I'm not a professional wearethistle forum poster...
  12. I find it insulting that someone gets paid to write this and then someone gets paid to edit it before print, when any one of about 2000 thistle fans and probably a good number of fans from other SFL1 clubs could do a better job. It doesn't take much to know (or find out) that Kris Doolan played for Auchinless Talbot not Kilbirnie Ladeside and, to be honest, if you don't you should not be paid for writing an article about his team and the game they were involved in. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/doolan-s-target-is-to-reach-no-1-in-the-charts-1.1089737
  13. 1,001 is the crowd. Time to enforce fixed maximum prices for each division, or move to the summer. £17 on a freezing rainy tuesday in March fo SFL1 is no likely to get people away from the TV (Barcelona v Arsenal) or the cinema.
  14. McGeough surely has to get his chance in this situation. He's not that young. 3-5-2 with McNamara at sweeper and Balatoni at LCB.
  15. Footymad says 'Burns (forward)' is starting. Is this just wrong, cos Cairney is missing from the squad on there too?
  16. That's a pretty impressive response. Could be an idea to do this more often to guage the fans opinion on matters. Take moving stadium/stadium redevelopment for example.
  17. 1 part impressive, 99 parts sad as ****, if you ask me...
  18. We didn't start Erskine, yet he seems to score all his goals against county? hat exactly is donnelly going to do? Nothing apart from turn an already defensive, arguably 5-1-2-2 formation into a 5-1-2-1-1 formation. Great. How about attacking the teams we think we're better than? Maybe we would have to complain about nver beating the lower down sides if we actually had a go at them!
  19. Customers/clients within the network could get concession rates for PATG. That way, news fans introduced through the network would have an incentive to come to the club, where they already know other fans as a result of the network. Then when (yes, when) they become season ticket holders, we can charge them full whack and milk them dry...
  20. That's probably because they're losing.
  21. Maybe Cairney is having one of his 'Stirling Albion away 2-4' first halves when he literally didn't actually touch the ball. Literally...and actually. Seriously.
  22. It's the food stall that ****s me off - two people serving 500+ whilst also cooking all the food to go to them. It's like they expect a crowd of 50 or so, then are totally overwhelmed and wrong-footed when a 1st division attendance materialises.
  23. How on earth can they have got into the SPL ahead of clubs like Dunfermline, Dundee, Falkirk, Queen of the South, Morton, Ross County and ourselves? They're such a diddy team it's unbelievable - 250 fans at Fir Park for their 'derby'.
  24. I've picked up a wee idea for the program on my travels. Does anyone know what the email address for suggestions is, or does a PM to Tom Hosie (I think that's correct?) suffice? Cheers
