I reckon 7th or 8th given the current squad, and I could live with that if it meant a good chance at top three in 11-12. However, if the 'dream' of expanding the SPL to 16 comes to fruition this season (hah!) then I'd bet all of your mortgages on 5th.

I've no idea about the LA Galaxy game - I wasn't here then, but I don't imagine it'll completely sell out (although there's always the All Whites Effect). Got my Boca tix in the post this morning. I'm also heading down to the Phoenix Open Day this Sunday to catch up with the returning All Whites, my son is very keen to meet Mark Paston (he seems to be fixated on goalies, he was a big Kenny Arthur and Johnny Tuffey fan!) Let me know if you get tickets and we can arrange to meet up somewhere.

Leigh Hinds! I remember the game where he was unveiled (or paraded?) and the general enthusiasm from the crowd. He then proceeded to hide from the ball repeatedly - never in the right place at the right time, statistically he should have been there at least once. So bloody frustrating.

Glad to see a focus on the youth set-up, and an admission that that has not been the case in the past. Thistle have to look attractive to young players now with Britton, McNamara and Donnelly on the coaching staff.

Damn, gutted to be missing so many glamour ties, ach well, I suppose I'll just have to make do with Boca Junoirs!

First game of the season is probably a good shout as it should be packed given the success of last season. KiwiJag, you've got the furthest to travel so it really should come down to whatever game you can make! (I happy to make any game.)

I'm planning on getting to some Phoenix games next season too, I arrived slightly too late to see any this season (and had a hell of a time working out what was actually happening, what the hell is a ladder anyway - it's a *league table*, tch!, and those play-off final things...) My son was mad keen on the Jags before we left - he was just at that perfect age where the result doesn't matter (it's all about the merchandise!), so am definitely interested in getting him along too. When does the season start?

That makes 3 NZ Jags then? That's got to be enough to justify a pre-season friendly against the Phoenix at the Cake Tin surely? Naw?

Kapiti Coast, NZ, currently (I think) reigning champion in the Most Southerly Nomad competition, well until someone from Invercargill pops up... Been here since January, convinced that the down-turn in form this past season coincided almost exactly with my last game (Dundee, 5th December)!

@Dens probably 06-07, might've been 05-06, shouted from up the back in a clearly exasperated tone: "Brutalise him!" Followed shortly by the apoplectic outburst: "Men!" At the lastest stoppage for a soft foul. I now use both of these regularly at every opporchancity, appropriate or otherwise.
