  1. Train, hotel and Pleasure Beach booked. Making a family weekend of it.
  2. And my favourite song from 1995, 'We're all off to Europe, Killie's off to Gourock'
  3. One guy hit another guy very hard. Sorry, can't get excited about that.
  4. What are the chances of this happening smoothly! This will be the first time the new system will have been used in this way. Given the set up problems at the start of last season and the club's record with technology, it could be messy. If it doesn't work, what proof do I have that I have actually renewed? Anybody had any luck with an Apple device yet?
  5. My 8 year old yesterday: "Mummy, do you know Partick Thistle are the only football team that don't cheat?" Don't know where he got that from...
  6. Doncaster would be looking to reconstruct to a top league of 22!
  7. So, who else were you and Craig Levein playing golf with?
  8. The 'Prices' page says June 15. I think the wording on the 'How to buy' page has changed. Quote: Please note, our e-ticketing site is not yet compatible with Apple devices - this will be rectified shortly Don't remember seeing that it would be rectified on original page.
  9. Yet again somebody at the club is responsible for a complete b@lls up. As Norge has said, the season ticket webpage should be taken off line now. It is far worse than amateurish, it is a badly run business. A business that has shown itself to be inept recently yet still hopes that I will hand over three hundred quid. On a related matter, I would urge any responsible parent or guardian not to give an email address for their child. I have not found anything on the website that explain the measures the club will take to ensure that this sensitive data will be secure. I'm afraid I just don't believe the club to be competent. A colleague at work knows a board member and is going to raise this issue with him over the weekend. I will await feedback before contacting the club myself.
  10. Sure, easy done. I imagine the email address will be used to actually communicate with the season ticket holder. As a parent I object to anybody wishing to directly contact my children. Of course, my kids don't even have to know of the existence of the email account or communication from the club and I can also constantly monitor the accounts myself for occasional communications from the club. Why the hell should I have to do this in order to take my kids to the football. Think the club may be on dodgy ground with this.
  11. Quote: Please note that every under 16 season ticket holder will need their own email address and cannot use one that has already been registered with the club’s ticketing website.
  12. The new electronic ticketing system will allow the club to gather useful information and in the future schemes like this will be easy to tailor to specific areas of the fan base. Given failings in administration and marketing, however, I won't hold my breath.
  13. OS specifically states that each under 16 must have a unique email address!
  14. I like the idea in principle but three and a half grand upfront would probably limit uptake.
  15. Not had a chance to find out how bad website is yet as I use Apple devices which, I understand, are not supported. Ludicrous. I notice that my 5 and 7 year old boys each need to have an email address in order to renew their season tickets. Ridiculous. I really want to give Archie my money. Why, oh why is it so difficult?
  16. I think this issue is yet another badly thought out move by the club. It will be interesting to see the terms and conditions when they finally get round to working them out. I'm not sure what I will do this season. I don't get to enough games to make a season ticket financially worthwhile but want to renew in order to support the club. Will decide when the club announce officially what arrangements will be.
  17. I have to hold my hands up here. I got four kids season tickets last season. Two for my kids and two for my (then) partner's kids. Two of these were only used once (see previous brackets!). I don't consider that I abused the system. Again, the club make an announcement that make the situation unclear. If unreserved seating means sit anywhere in a family section then I don't have a problem with that. Kind of what I expected to be the case last season. As with the North Stand situation, this directly affects all Partick Thistle fans and the future of the club. There is a lot of "my stand is better than your stand" pish on here at the moment. One Thistle. Remember?
  18. Their season started with a friendly against the Jags in a field outside Durham. It ended on Sunday at Wembley. Although unsuccessful in their playoff final, a great season for them. Who would have thought it on that drunken, sunny afternoon in Durham.
  19. We're going to win a cup in seven years time. Everybody knows that!
  20. Seed sewn. Anything less than a trophy next season, you'll be calling for Archie's head.
  21. Would be interesting to see the figures on this. How many occasional/walk up U16 fans are there? Most could surely get a free season ticket.
  22. If this is what is proposed for Under 16's next season then it's good news. I was surprised last season that U16 season tickets weren't in a specific section. Let us not underestimate this initiative. My two kids have their very own season ticket, which they think is great, and they really feel part of the club. Surely the next step is to ensure that the next generation of Jags fans get more healthy food and drink options. How about selling water alongside fizzy drinks. Perhaps the club could find a Scottish supplier of water. They might even be persuaded to sponsor our kit. Oh...
