  1. Good work, My Lady, suspect you might be right.
  2. Think you misunderstood my post, HU. I'm suggesting that Riordan IS the problem.
  3. Nothing wrong with Riordan's pals if they could just keep away from the knobhead they hang around with.
  4. Frustrated by problems with online form, I phoned the club. Five forms filled in over the phone. Pleasant and painless experience. I recommend it.
  5. If a petition signed by a sixth of our average home support (or twelfth man) is not enough to convince the board that another solution is required then there is nothing else I can say. I'm just getting more frustrated. A bad taste in the mouth as the new season approaches. Thanks to JJ for fronting up with answers. Much appreciated.
  6. I am not happy about this situation, and you're right JJ, I wouldn't normally be happy about being moved to main stand. However, the North Stand Choir is more important to the atmosphere at the game.
  7. Bizarrely, when it comes to policing public demonstrations, the police go to great lengths to deter potential troublemakers. Using surveillance, infiltration by undercover officers with government issue condoms, illegally turning back buses on the way to demo's & kettling and other forms of false detainment. And yet when presented with, probably, known individuals (identified by cctv within football grounds) they are happy to lean on the host club to allow them in. Even though they have recently caused criminal damage at the very same ground. I just don't get it.
  8. I am horrified that this decision has been made because visiting supporters cannot obey the law. If someone lights a flare and sets fire to a wooden stand, surely it is they that are criminally responsible. We should not be dictated to by these thugs. They should all be banned from away games until they can demonstrate that they can behave in a civilised manner within the laws of the land. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
  9. Club statement up http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2013-2014/june_2013/statement_re_segregation_next_season
  10. Once upon a time Rangers came to Firhill. We had just been promoted and this was the first home game against one of them. The Board decided to maximise revenue. All the Jags season ticket holders were crammed into the Main Stand Enclosure and the rest of the ground was given to the uglies. There was a great deal of anger and bitterness that day. Thistle fans were made to feel like strangers in their own home. The club made a few quid but lost many hearts. They said it would never happen again. Amy members of the present board who were there that day should think long and hard. A damaged reputation takes a long time to repair.
  11. Have just read all the posts on this topic. Firstly, let us note that no official statement has been made by the club regarding seating arrangements for this match. Clearly, though, special arrangements for Celtic fans have been discussed at the club and the decision has been passed onto fans by club officials to fans in an ad hoc way. What a fantastic season we have just witnessed. Having supported Thistle for 22 years, it was the third time I celebrated promotion to the top tier. Without doubt, it was the most enjoyable of all. Not just because the football was good but also because we were good. All in it together. We have all sat at Firhill year after year and noticed the worstening matchday atmosphere. Thanks to the guys at One Thistle, none of whom I know, there is an incredible feeling of belonging again. What an extraordinary three days at the end of the season. Trophy presentation Saturday, Firhill Cup family fun day Sunday and Old Firm thugs on Monday. Please let us not bow to them. We Are Thistle. Forever And Ever. One Thistle. Sign the petition, email the club.
  12. Thanks 1JL Phoned the office today. All done with ease.
  13. Perhaps I'm being really stupid but I don't understand how to email the form back. It is the most counter-intuitive form I have ever seen. It contains contradictory information. Clicking on the Paypal button does not link me to Paypal. I just don't get it. Can anybody help?
  14. Without a doubt. Can't take the idea of him managing Everton seriously though.
  15. Pure speculation, I know. Heard on the radio that Lennon is currently the bookies favourite for the Everton job. Lennon to Everton Scumbag to Celtic Archie to Dungdee United
  16. I can't believe that 24 people have voted in this ridiculous poll.
  17. Thanks. This is astonishing behaviour from McNamara. As has been said already, Thistle have done a great deal to help him with his career. I imagine the Board are seething about this, I hope his contract was unambiguous. I don't believe in organised boycotts. I wouldn't sink to Sevco's level. Anybody who wants to watch their football team should be allowed to do so without judgement. I, however, will not be travelling to Dundee next season. They will not get my money. I like elevenone's idea of donating gate money to Thistle. If 1,000 of us did that it would be a useful sum of money. Unfortunately we will possibly only play them away once as the sh!tebags will be in the bottom six in McNamara's last season as a football manager.
  18. Any reports of this story anywhere else? A tweet from a twit? I will reserve judgement until I see more evidence.
  19. Me neither. Don't understand why a club that didn't fulfill the entry criteria were allowed to join SFL3 this season either. The way in which the governing bodies work, anything is possible.
  20. We are an SFL club. We still have to complete the SFL1 fixtures. I don't know when we become an SPL club. What seems clear though is that we are not one of the clubs 'poised to resign'.
  21. So nobody has resigned. There is a long way to go before this is decided. According to BBC Radio a few minutes ago, Ross County and St Mirren are against SPL2.
  22. The irony is that if he had stayed we, IMO, would not have won the league.
  23. What is your source for this? According to STV site nobody has resigned. The clubs that are 'poised to resign' are 8 SFL1 clubs (all excluding Airdrie) plus QoS. Dundee are ready to resign also, when their inevitable relegation is confirmed.
  24. Gonna buy a hat so I can take it off to the S & G R & Y A
  25. I agree. Seriously strange idea which is a good thing. I think it has great publicity potential. After seeing the puns on here, imagine what our top rate headline writers would come up with. I'm in. I'll show you mine if you show me yours!
