I am not really qualified to comment, as a pre-game alcoholic drink is not part of my standard matchday experience, but I cannot see the attraction of this for those who do like a drink before the game.
Would you not prefer to stay in the Woodie or Munns or even the Aitken Suite or wherever, in a comfortable and convivial atmosphere, until (say) half an hour before kick off and then wander along to the game. What is the incentive to enter the ground at least an hour before kick off to stand and have a drink out of sight of the pitch and then hang around until the match begins?
Maybe I am missing something here and remain to be enlightened.
