  1. Playing well. Banzo negative as per but working hard. Lots of possession with no penetration. We need that final ball Higgy Lawless and Stevo can all provide. McDaid again looking very lively. Elliot should of done a lot better with his nogan. Fraser made a sensational free kick from our half to pick outMcDaid. Balatoni having possibly the worst shot ever seen? 25 yards out and didn't make it into the box- least our defence aren't scared of shooting.
  2. I bought it and it isn't working. Got 36mps download speed test so problem must be at their end. edit: now working with no sound? Ah well, will listen to open all mics.
  3. Signed for Killie, on the bench today. Will do well given the chance in my opinion - 2 goals in 165 minutes for us (60 being away to Celtic in the 6-0 game).
  4. Stevenson dropped? I've not said anything bad about Archie yet but he completely taking the p**s today dropping our best player since Christmas, while keeping in Bannigan in who has been awful of late. Elliot before Higginbotham, Lawless and Stevo???? So glad I couldn't go. Archie's team selections do baffle. Will no doubt win.
  5. Just happy it's away from home so I don't have to go. Very winnable, just depends what team shows up - you would hope to get a reaction. Fox, Bannigan, Elliot, Balatoni out Gallacher, Frazer, Higginbotham, Seaborne in.
  6. Will delay opinion until we play Dundee and County, but fundamental issues (basically central midfield) need addressed.
  7. Fox is just so slow at distributing the ball, it just compounds the Banzo/Osman issue. Remember when we had Tuffey how quickly he would set up attacks by instantly throwing the ball forward. It completely catches teams out and is such an underused tactic at our level. Why pass the ball through a whole team when a quick throw can take 4/5 of their players out while not allowing the other 5 to get in position. Gals is better than Fox in every area, such a weird time for Archie to introduce Fox back in as well - a game we were more than likely going to concede several goals, great for his confidence! Bemused.
  8. He is only allowed to play three games in a row before being injured for a week. In his contract.
  9. Negatives: - Slow start again - Banzo and Osman slow and can't pass forward, generally poor - Let them walk through us too many times - No Higgy or Fraser - Same issues from games vs Caley, Killie and St Mirren - Archie refuses to change until it's too late - We don't have any shape or balance anymore - Referee waits till we have lost then gives us meaningless free kicks as if he is not bias Positives: - McDaid lively - Stevo put in a power of work second half - Being able to sub a tiring striker - It was Celtic after all but expect more regardless Three huge games coming up (Dundee, County x 2), have to drop Banzo for Fraser and start Higgy in place of Elliot.
  10. I'd play Craigen ahead of Bannigan on current form, at least he moves the ball quickly forward. Fraser really deserves a run of games, he must be wondering what Banzo and Osman have to do to get some bench time. We also have to play Higgy, whether things come off or not he makes the opposition work hard and takes a lot of pressure of our team.
  11. Because our centre two of Bannigan and Osman can't pass a ball.
  12. Bannigan and Osman costing us the game again. Is it just me or is McDaid, and Stevo to a lesser extent, the only ones who pulled on a jersey to win a game today? Fraser needs to play. Higgy even out of form takes two opposition players to mark so is undroppable. Slow starts costing us, combined with two central mids that can't pass a ball forward.
  13. I have a feeling we will win, given this is the least confident I have ever felt about a game since our return to the top flight. Here's hoping.
  14. Not surprised, think he'll get a deal - good solid player.
  15. Not looking forward to it, but it's worth going to twenty of these games so you're there for that one time we win.
  16. It has stemmed since his Scotland under 21 call up. God knows what they did to him.
  17. Agree with most except Stevenson in my opinion was excellent second half. Was our hardest working player and one of the only ones (him and Taylor) that looked like they thought they could win it. The fans need to realize Stevo might not of been with us as part of the championship winning side but he is, without question, out best player since November,
  18. I don't think I've ever agreed with Archie's team selection. With McNamara I often picked the same team. I have also never criticized Archie for his team selection, if he puts out a player then I think it is that players responsibility to play well, not the managers. So I am usually reluctant to comment on Archie, he's doing a good job. But a few tweeks and he could be doing a great job and I think that's where frustrations come in. Stevenson has to play behind a striker. Whether it is Doolan or Taylor doesn't matter, but he has to be in midfield. Taylor is now our first choice in my opinion. Bannigan has been poor for 90% of this season, too negative, too slow. Osman does Bannigan's job, so either Bannigan needs to play more attack minded like a couple of years ago or else he needs to stop playing. Also, Fraser is an exceptional talent. His position is central midfield, not attacking midfield. His goals come from running forward late and finding space, not from being constantly up there. He has to play with Osman. I am a fan of Bannigan but he needs bench time to regain any fire he used to have. How much could we of done with a fit Welsh today?
  19. Fraser shouldn't be played so high up, was no lack of effort just not his position.
  20. Taylor has to start, so much better than what we have upfront. Stevo needs to play in midfield - he is so so much better there. Banzo needs dropped, he is far too negative. Play Osman and Fraser, one to tackle one to pass. Quite a lot of dismal defending from our whole back four. Could of been 4 - 0 down at half time. Second half much better. Higgy completely off form but was getting doubled up on. Column? What was he all about, few mind bogglingly terrible decisions. Bad team selection cost us the game today.
  21. Just checked and Scully has had 5 clean sheets in 10 games for us - that's not too bad a record (conceded 10 and scored 27 when he has played). Obviously the opposition has never been great. With Waters and Basalaj, I can't see Scully being back.
  22. Bannigan had one dodgy spell in left back this season, but outwith that I think he is good there. If we dropped players for having a bad half hour in a game we wouldn't have a team to put out. Actually good Booth is cup tied because it might force Archie to play Banzo LB which means Fraser can play alongside Abdul. Taylor to start (although I think Archie will go with Dools so it doesn't look like Taylor is guaranteed a place). Gallacher O'Donnell,, Frans .. Seaborne .. Bannigan Osman .. Fraser Lawless .. Stevenson .. Higginbotham Taylor Our best 11 players all on the field.
  23. Completely agree with the sentiment, but he did score 3 goals in his first 3 games last time - that would do nicely.
  24. So since been up he has overseen 3 losses 3 draw and 1 win. Given the opposition (aberdeen, united x 2, celtic, caley, st mirren x2 and killie) it is in line with what we have got really. Not winning any of the last seven is quite some record. Conclusion: Column is just terrible for everyone.
  25. I think the difference is Barca and Real are world wide leaders in football. They generate an audience for Spanish football and are the sole reason (for most) why people watch it around the globe. Without them I doubt there would be so much Spanish football on TV. Scottish football in general is only really watched in Scotland, therefore the market isn't quite as driven by the big two as people have vested interest in the other teams (though obviously most are concerned with the old firm). If our TV deal was distributed in the best interests of Scottish football, everyone including the broadcasters would benefit. Old Firms fans will still watch, but more coverage of other teams will get back an alienated market. For the Old Firm to get better, the rest of the league has to also improve and it may actually become a sporting spectacle people will want to watch. I guess the latest SPFL set up tried to address these issues but not enough really.
