  1. As the contact details don't seem to have been updated in several places, including the Official Site (despite being contacted several times to do so), can I just remind anyone who is interested in signing up as a Nomad, or needs to contact us for any other reason, the contact details are now: Contact: Tam Cramer E-Mail: [email protected] Cheers Tam
  2. Glad to see the Fez still has the power, Shuggie.
  3. I shall start sending out a wee status report this very evening.
  4. You leave Halliwell alone. He's OURS! BTW, if anyone from One Team In Glasgow reads this, you need to update your Nomads contact details. PM me and Ill give you the new info.
  5. Great stuff Nomads. Keep up the good work.
  6. Sending out an e-mail tonight about payment details, guys. Shuggie has kindly volunteered his Paypal account for donations to be paid into. Thanks for the offer on the cheques, Jim. Much appreciated. No offence but I think, to cut out the middle man, a better plan is that cheques should be sent directly to Ami at the Club, clearly stating that it's a donation for Nomads sponsorship and is to be added to the larger Nomads payment*. Also think, if he's still available and there are no objections, that Halliwell is who'll be aiming for as a 1st choice. Anyway, check your Inboxes over the next 24 hours . Cheers Tam * I'd love to take the credit, but this was Ailsa's idea
  7. Guys, I'll be sending out some details on how to put your money into the sponsorship pot, via Paypal, over the weekend (I hope!). We might have an issue with people who don't have a Paypal account. I know that in the past people in the UK could send cheques, but due to my geographical location that isn't really gonna fly this time. I'm sure we can work round it somehow though. I'd hope we could get a boot and shirt sponsorship for one player at least. I e-mailed the club earlier in the week to see what the state of play was, in terms of which players were still available, in case that's changed from what's on the Official Site. So far they haven't replied! p.s. Would also be great to get your feelings on which player(s) we should sponsor. I think that Twinny's idea about Halliwell is a good one. (Assuming we actually get round to re-signing him)
  8. First batch of newsmails went out tonight, Nomads show and shirt sponsorship both in there. I'll be sending out the rest tomorrow
  9. Something about this will be going in the newsletter/e-mail, which I hope to be getting out tonight.
  10. I'll be putting together some sort of NOMADS newsletter/e-mail this weekend, so I'll add this as well.
  11. If somebody PMs me the details, once they're finalised, I'll get it in a NOMADS newsletter
  12. Thanks for the good wishes, chaps. I'll need them. Ailsa will be holding my hand (in a cyber kind of way!) till I have some sort of idea what I'm doing, and hopefully we'll have a newsletter out sometime in the near future.
  13. Sorry to be pedantic, but the FIFA referees list has Howard Webb as being from England and, as far as I am aware he referees in the English Premier League. In terms of football, he is there as arepresentative of England. We see him in English football regularly, I don't recall seeing the bold Howard doing too many games in the SPL or the Welsh Premier League. Just saying...
  14. You leave poor wee New Zealand alone, ya big bully! NZ massively over achieved, given their playing resources. They were nowhere near as technically gifted as any of the teams they played, but they were well organised, worked hard for each other and defended well. That doesn't sound like Thistle to me It was up to other "big" teams to break them down and beat them, which they couldn't. As for scrapping the 3 points for a win, that's just crazy talk.
  15. According to a Portsmouth supporting mate, 'Scummer' is the word you're looking for there.
  16. One of our players in the club I'm a part of here is Dutch, and I can report that he has a very healthy hatred of all things German.
  17. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I won't be at either of those games, but I'm usually good for at least 4 or 5 a season so I'll hopefully catch up with you guys later in the season
  18. Ha Ha. Cheers, Tam. It'll be a huge, huge ask for them to beat Paraguay but, you never know...
  19. I disagree. France, Italy, England... and don't get me started on Australia
  20. Think the "Big 4" thing was coined a few years ago in terms of thrash metal.
  21. Well said that man! I got Uruguay in our sweep.
