  1. I can't really comment on the meeting as it was the first thing I ever attended as a member of the Trust (not the Board) and to be honest didn't really know much about the Trust before that night, so don't know anything about what went on with the proxies etc. I've left only that section of your quote as if the members vote for the Trust to do something, then it has to do it.

Apologies Jim - 'relaunch' is obviously the wrong phrase - but it's easier to type than implementation! Looking forward to the meeting and would be great to see all of these groups of fans represented there as well.
  3. None of the board members from that time remain on the board today. Also, I believe it was a certain Mr Beattie who uttered the infamous line.

I agree with what you say to an extent about the Trust being too bogged down in the issue of board rep etc, and I have found myself in the past thinking "right stuff it, lets just get on with doing something else rather than navel gazing" and that's definitely something the Trust needs to address. I don't think I ever said that the Trust would NOT support the Federation (and yes there used to be one before the Jags Trust, but that's way before my time so I have almost no knowledge of it) and obviously if we were invited - we haven't been now, or previously - then that's something we would look at and discuss. I am unaware who has been invited to this meeting hosted by Jim and Grieg Brown on Saturday other than representatives from the Trust and the supporters buses. JJ alluded earlier to different sections of the support and I'm sure as many as can be reasonably represented will be. The invitation states that there will be 'a presentation on the current status of TAG and where we go from here' Davy I think was just looking ahead into 1 possible scenario ie if the club relaunch it. I'm not going to get drawn into the look at the posts thing as there's no real point. Fair enough if you (and others) feel that they maybe weren't the clearest posts, but hopefully now everyone is aware we were trying to get a bit of discussion going about TAG and how people would react IF it were to re-launch, which just to be clear again - the Trust has no say in.
  5. Think 12k was the combined cost of the cars.
  6. I believe that was only for a year - and I seem to think covered other aspects rather than just running the CF, but not 100% sure. The Trust, as I'm sure you'll be surprised to hear, has received 0 shares so far from being part of the CF.
  7. Best of luck to Ian in his new role. (I'm sure he'll need it!)
  8. In terms of the hospitality, I believe the club receives an invoice for the hospitality used. Staffing costs - the CF is now run by Iain Dodd. Need to wait until the next AGM to see if he (or any other directors) are paid or receive 'remuneration' for administering the fund, but I would highly doubt that they do.
  9. I'm pretty sure that is/was correct. I don't have the current figures, though I do know that the number of people taking part in the CF has dropped since 2010. Would be surprised if we were making more then 35/40k.

I think you'll find that most of the projects listed on that site are now being run by the Community Trust, certainly things like Community coaching, Firhill Music Project (though in a slightly different guise than previously) and the fitness programme (now the FFit programme). The main focus for the rest of 2014 (and hopefully beyond) is the Ladies team yes, but as before we're always happy to support other community initiatives, and continue to do so.

No. The community Trust was set up *warning - cynical hat* mainly so PTFC can regain control of the Firhill complex - but obviously they do a lot of great work within the community and the Jags Trust are more than happy to do what we can to support that. Hopefully the sponsorship of the Ladies team will be a long and successful one and help us get more involved with the Community side of things while linking in with PTFC. We have had our own fundraising for Community interests and we've helped groups out with donations, most recently Maryhill Foodbank and of course Community Central Halls itself with the festive raffle (50% of proceeds go to CCH).

The Charity/community Trust is independent from the club, though I believe that David Beattie is also the 'chairperson' for them as well as at PTFC LTD. They also get money from The Weir tie-in (ASFAIK). The Jags Trust are still involved though, and are sponsoring the PTFC Ladies strip and will also be hoping to help them out throughout the season in terms of helping to fundraise, etc as the Ladies team do not getting any help from the Weir tie-in as it stands.

The general view of the JTB (from when TAG was first announced - as nothing has changed since then, other than it failing to materlise for whatever reason) was that in principal it is a good idea and should be supported, and we were/still are happy to support it. However, from the information given out at the time it appeared that the 'Supporters Federation' would not be of elected members and would not be a viable route to fan ownership or even a place on the PTFC LTD Board. So from that point of view we fell that the Trust is still the best way of achieving that. With everything else relating more directly to footballing matters (highlights, prizes etc) there was nothing in there that the Trust has any issues with. As mentioned, we were basically trying to gauge people's views on what would happen if TAG were to relaunch and try to advise the club (along with the other delegates) as clearly there wouldn't be much point in doing it if no-one would sign up!

Must have been the office computer.
  15. According to Motherwell twitter/Alison Robbie twitter no inspection is required. Make of that what you will.
  16. I still reckon Killie/St Midden are the teams to catch. County should be able to make themsevles safe given the number of signings - really just Kiss - but before the start of the season I would have been pretty surprised if we were to beat Motherwell at Fir Park, If we score early though (given they haven't played for 3 weeks) I think we can get something from today. Certainly not another 5-1 on the cards anyway.
  17. I like this team for what is (probably) going to be a terrible pitch today. Would rather Gabby than Conrad personally but reckon this could do the business. ETA: Also SO'D instead of McMillan. Also also remarkable to think that Fox has been so easily replaced by Gallacher.

Just to be clear - the Jags Trust has NO PART in running, setting up, basically anything to do with TAG other than we've been invitied to sent 2 members to a meeting about it. Also, as GPT mentioned the only reason David Mains didn't start this thread was becuase he wasn't able to log in to the forum. He just wanted to get opinions on this matter, as those on the facebook groups will be able to see.
  19. Essentially, yes. The way a race night works is that you can bet on however many horses you wish in each race, the odds are worked out there and then based on the bets and you can walk out having had your dinner, a few drinks (hopefully a good time!) and have the same amount of money you started with!
  20. Join us for a Night at the Races! An equine extravaganza takes place this Friday, 8 November 2013, at the Community Central Halls, 304 Maryhill Rd. Doors open 7:30pm and first race is off at 8pm. All Thistle fans, friends and neighbours are invited to get along and join in the fun! Don’t worry if you can’t tell a thoroughbred from a donkey it all adds to the enjoyment and excitement of the evening. Visit the bar to quench your thirst or lubricate the vocal cords for cheering on the winners! TICKET £6 - includes a choice of fish or pie supper. Pay at the Door! Come along and place your bets! Please note that all the horses have now been sold and races sponsored, so a big thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!
  21. I stand corrected. It was the Glasgow Football Association that paid for repairs. Confirmed at tonights AGM by Beattie.

Reduced from 200k to 100k, which will be paid off with the usual monthly payments. The club paid off one loan, reduced the overdraft facility and got a new loan at the same time to allow this to happen.
  23. I don't know how many tickets or horses as other board members are selling individually. We decided to move away from the Aitken suite, partly just for a change and partly because Sporting Solutions want to charge us when we used to enjoy use of the Aitken suite for free. Fair enough, it is a business. But when you have a night in Novemember and the people charging you haven't put the heating on... Also, there is disabled access within CCH but not in the Aitken Suite (or Alan Rough Lounge for that matter)
  24. Celtic did pay for the seats to be replaced.
