  1. Yeah, totally agree. Some guy on Twitter saying that this is proof that Thistle fans aren't as nice as they claim. Rightly or wrongly this has given folk the opportunity to have a go at us collectively. Hopefully Bauben realises that this guy speaks for himself and not for the club or the rest of the fans.
  2. Agree to an extent, the posters you have mentioned seem up for a bit of healthy discussion and actually make a worthwhile contribution to the debate. I take exception to the people who come on with the sole purpose of trolling, like many of the Morton fans last year.
  3. Sent the club a tweet, but maybe something the onethistle guys could take up with the club?
  4. I have been saying this for the best part of 18 months. As soon as we moved into the North Stand we should have changed they way we traditionally shoot in the 2nd half. We've always played into the "city" end in the 2nd as long as i've been going to Firhill and I can only assume this is because that was the end the home fans congregated in. Even with the bing we continued the tradition, probably because the away fans were in the North Stand. Time for a change.
  5. What position does it play? If it's a defensive midfielder you should give Archie a call.
  6. Would have been really interesting to see how we would have done with him in the team last weekend. I imagine we wouldn't have been sitting so deep after going 3-1 up.
  7. Plus Killie's drop will almost solely be responsible to the non attendance of fans boycotting because if the chairman
  8. I remember being bemused and delighted when Johnston took him off at Firhill.
  9. I see Killie have released the guy Ibrahim that they had signed from Celtic. There's obviously something amiss with him for them to have released him but I though he was their best player when they played us at Firhill. Seems to have fallen out of the side since then, so I wonder what went on. Based on the only game I've seen him play he would be a good signing, but there must be underlying issues so might not be the best bet.
  10. I'm sure the rules state that if he signs a pre-contract agreement with someone before this season ends then we will be due compensation. If he runs his deal down and signs for someone after the season finishes then we would be due nothing.
  11. Gilks withdraws from the Norway game so Scotty Fox is moved up one place in the pecking order. Unlikely that he'll start but Strachan has changed goalkeepers once or twice during games so there is an outside change he'll get some game time.
  12. **** RIGHT OFFFFFFF!!! AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!
  13. Pretty much in line with what I was saying earlier in the thread. Hopefully ATS will sign a pre-contract with someone before the season ends so we might be due something. But I would assume any club that Is interested would want to hold off till after the season ends to avoid a payment.
  14. I'm obviously getting confused with the situation surrounding Joe Ledley. I just remember at the time that Cardiff were hoping he wouldn't join Celtic as they'd get no compensation but if he joined an English club then they'd get something for him. Training compensation would be due if he moved across associations but it would be vastly reduced to what we would get if he joined a Scottish club. Apparently we'd get training compensation if he signed a pre-contract with a foreign club during the season in which he turns 23 (this season), but my understanding is if he runs his deal down, leaves after the end of the season and then signs for an English or other foreign club we'd get nothing. This is what happened with Ledley. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/celtic/186212-cardiff-pursuit-of-celtic-for-ledley-fee-doomed-to-fail/
  15. Only if he moves to a club in Scotland. If he moves outwith the country, we'd get nothing.
  16. I thought the Main Stand was fine, didn't queue for a pie so can't comment on the queues. The do have hand sanitisers attached to the walls outside of the toilets so it's not as if you cannot wash your hands after being at the toilet. But I can understand why some fans would want wash hand basins. Never had any issue with the seats, they seemed clean enough but I have seen photos from other folk that show their seat caked in bird crap. It shouldn't be too hard for the club to clean these seats on a regular basis, especially as the stand is being used for every home game. The netting is obviously not stopping birds from getting into the roof space so maybe a more solid barrier is needed.
  17. I think it's because the opposition are sitting in and making it difficult for us to break them down. Towards the end of last season teams were doing it quite regularly and we were struggling to break them down, such as the successive 1-0 home wins v Airdrie & Hamilton and the 0-0 draw with Raith Rovers. The difference being the teams we're playing are much better than last season so when we get the chances to put them away we are missing them or when we do take them we can't stop the other team scoring. I'd say now it's starting to play on the players mind's and they are snatching at chances slightly. Away from home the onus is on the opposition to come out and attack, which creates space for us going forward resulting in us creating more openings and chances. That's my take on it, but I'm probably wrong haha!
  18. It's a strange situation because I think if many of us were offered 13 points after 10 games we'd have taken it no bother. But to have came out of so many games this season feeling like we've gotten less than we deserved it's hard to not be greedy and expect us to have more. I certainly think our away form is better as the onus in on the home team to come forward and create chances which opens up the door for us to counter attack and exploit the space. At home teams are sitting in and stifling us, making it hard for us to get in behind them and cause problems, and hitting us on the break. All in all i'm pretty happy with the first 10 games. We've played well for the most part and if we can keep it up I see no reason why we can't pick up another 13-16 points from the next 10-12 games. If we can keep up that ratio then we'd finish on roughly 49 points.
  19. Will it though? From what i understand Thistle fans are just being moved from the North to the Main, so the amount of tickets available to Celtic is the same as it would have been if we had remained in the North and the Main had been reserved for them.
  20. It's the first we've heard of it, but they are offering £5 off the cost of admission to the St Johnstone game with a Celtic ticket.
  21. I thought a lot of the players got caught out last night with the sheer volume of rain within a short period of time. I'd imagine many would have picked their boots/studs based on the warm up but as more rain fell the pitch got softer. After the first 5-10 mins i was thinking that then Gary Mac said the same. He did spend the game calling Balatoni Balatoley so maybe i shouldn't be too happy about being on the same wavelength as him
  22. Something needs to change, don't know what though. We can't continue dominating games and not putting teams away. For the Hibs keeper to say they played well in the 2nd half is laughable.
  23. To be fair with Watt, the manager of Lierse and subsequently Lennon have criticised his fitness so I think there's definitely something there. More so than any other player that is in the squad. I'm sure I heard something about Watt interesting Thistle until we got wind of his attitude, application and fitness issues.
