  1. Interesting to note that as we all squabble about our defence, that out with the top 5 we have lost the least goals.
  2. Fcuk sake some people need a reality check and accept that today we were miles better than Motherwell and sometimes it just doesn't happen. We r playing decent football and results will come, please calm down guys and stop sounding like paranoid OF fans
  3. Its actually refreshing that he is saying just now that his career ambitions lie elsewhere, rather than the usual shite we are used to hearing from some players. More importantly in order for him to get a move upwards at the end of the season, he will need to play well for us, therefore a win win all round
  4. Why are we even giving this guy air time. He messed up, lots of people do and many of them deserve a second chance, however when you blame your employer for your own fck up and slag them off at any given opportunity by way of a defence, you deserve nothing. let's forget about McMillan, we have moved on big time since he was here and I personally don't want an influence like that around our young players.
  5. I was at the game yesterday and from reading some of the earlier garbage posted many of you were not there. I have criticized Archie's tactics in the past, but yesterday he got it spot on. Azeez and Edwards were causing all sorts of havoc early on and we retained the ball more than on any other occasion that I have been to Aberdeen. Two bad decisions cost us today, Abduls rash challenge in a dangerous area of the pitch, he should not have stayed on his feet and Lindsay's awful attempt to beat a man 25yards from his own goal was disgraceful. To blame Archie for those errors is nonsense, tactically it was not the game to start Dools, and bringing on Erskine once the game started to stretch was the correct plan. We are in a much better place than last year and if we get a CB (Alex Baptiste at 30 would be ideal), then we can certainly compete for top 6
  6. 50 years for me. My early memories were in '69 when Davie Wilson scored a goal against us which relegated us that day. As he had played for us previously he didn't celebrate the goal and was actually in tears as he walked away from the goal. I do think this team just now are on the brink of doing something special in terms of cup runs etc, however I think they have a bit to go in matching the early '70's league cup winning team.
  7. Wasn't that long ago we were playing big games against Peterhead Lady I, the last sentence of your post read like an OF fan
  8. Agree with this however he will only get into international set up if he moves to one of the ugly sisters, if he stays with with us he will be overlooked by an OF development squad player.
  9. Agree really enjoyed the game tonight, but Inverness will be a different proposition, however I think we have a team that is going to be very entertaining this season. Once again great support tonight, does anyone have a figure of how many of us were there, from my vantage point in the stand I thought about 700
  10. He was decent last week against Morton, and was very vocal organising the defence.
  11. Some newspapers reporting Gary Harkins has been told he is free to find another club, is he worth a punt? I'm not sure
  12. Totally agree with this and love this quote Ian, "especially for the smaller clubs", it does demonstrate all of our thinking has changed and we justifiably think of ourselves as a bigger club, which again is down to the hard work of the board along with the management team, it hasnt happened overnight
  13. This is a marvellous signing, more importantly I think once and for all it demonstrates that we are now competing at a different level when it comes to signing players. Well done Archie and the board huge credit deserved.
  14. Let's get a campaign going to put Ian's suggestion into practice and get it right up the SPFL and at the same time raise money for a great cause.
  15. Already looking like a reasonably strong squad for next season, have listed a starting 11 and bench which would be pretty decent and could start season tomorrow if need be. I still think we need another experience CB and another Banzo type MF Cerny Dumbaya. Devine. Lindsay. Booth Osman. Welsh Erskine. Edwards. Lawless Doolan Subs. Scully, Syme, Amoo, Azeez, Elliot, Fraser, Pogba
  16. Agreed and Sheilds is more of a number 10, who scores and create s goals, would definitely be the step up in quality we need, along with Lawless and Erskine would be a pretty creative trio to supply Dools.
  17. This would be great if someone was able to organise. It's a difficult place to get to by public transport.
  18. Hey it's not the best news, but if u asked me at the end of the season, who would you rather stayed Osman n Lawless or Seabourne n Frans....... I know what I would have chosen.
  19. If GM and FF sign it will be the first close season I can remember when we didn't lose players to other clubs, either in our league or below. A couple of new signings added in and we are potentially sorted, unlike last year.
  20. Lawless signed 2 year extension, superb news.
  21. Great news and well deserved. The way they have invested in the club has been first class. They didn't just roll up and hand over £2 million they have clear discussed with the club where their money would be best invested and thus we have a superb youth academy and are debt free, we couldn't have asked for any more. I can't believe that people on other social media platforms are complaining about this, it really is a joke.
  22. It's a bit of a pain what happened after yesterday's game, because all it has done is galvanized the OF media luvvies in support of poor Rangers and detracting from what was a superb game and a great victory for Hibs. Sectarian bile being sung by Rangers fans from the start of the game, as usual goes unmentioned. I think because we haven't played them in a while we forget that they are equally as vile as the other half of the OF arse cheek.
  23. We will be at Ibrox 1st game of season.
  24. I hope Lawless, Seabourne, Miller and Frans are next to sign hopefully in that order. Then bring in 2/3 quality players over the next month or so. I have been impressed by Liam Henderson on loan at Hibs from Celtic. Don't see him having a future at Parkhead and if Hibs don't go up there may be a chance he would be available.
  25. Luckier is a superb journalist. He wrote a fantastic article last month after the OF game, outlining that there was more bad things about that fixture than there are good. It was refreshing to read a journalist who is not afraid to write the truth about the bigotry that is associated with that game when everyone else in the media is telling us how much we missed this game.
