  1. The Bomber was a lot easier to menchie on toilet doors
  2. aye you're right this Archibald fella is well out of his depth. Clueless. Dreadful at the back unless we sign at least another two and i've got no idea where goals are going to come from with the exception of Doolan. Archie out!
  3. Oh no..... We've signed someone... before the start of the season.... he can fill two of the positions we so badly require cover in..... what we going to panic about now?
  4. We all need a good old fashioned distraction. You know, The Jags to go out and hand someone a scheme bootin'. A traditional hiding. Morton in the Cup, August 26th. Yeeha! Oh aye and who are the trialists? Zubar and ?.....
  5. Thank Christ you've got a much better understanding of our transfer policy than the management/board. I was concerned for a second before you piped up. As long as you 'think they thought' I'm a happy man.
  6. http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/rovers-transfer-list-six-1572548.aspx I don't buy that we are anywhere near the kind of wages Goodwillie is after but he'd be a great signing. What's the boy Slew that County had on loan like? I didn't see much of him at all.
  7. Continued statements of intent. One eye on the future of the club and the other on building a squad with a bit of nous. I reckon we will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the squad come the first day of the season. I genuinely can't wait.
  8. Right i've not been on here for a while and clearly this question has been answered on numerous occasions already. Ignore me i'm getting old.
  9. What's the story with the Player of the Year awards this season? Have a missed a massive trick? Haven't seen any mention of it. For what it's worth I'd go..... Player of the Year - Kallum Higginbotham Young Player of the Year - Stuart Bannigan Goal of the Season - Gary Fraser, May 7th v Hearts As a fans forum I'd also add.... Best Signing - Paul Gallacher Worst Signing - John Baird (that was always going to the case)
  10. It was obviously in a less competitive league but Balatoni was always a real threat from set pieces last season and he's been missed in attacking situations this season. We're also a small outfit. We don't trouble sides at set pieces as we're just too slight.
  11. If the application and desire they showed in the second half on Saturday carries over we'll be safe as houses. Criticised, and rightly so on a number of occasions this season for throwing away winning positions, they should be applauded for taking 3 points in that fashion. I reckon Fridays game will be a cracker.
  12. I think all of this 'Archie Out' nonsense smacks of delusions of grandeur to be honest. The goal has always been to stay in the Premiership and if it's achieved via a playoff, then regardless of all the nerve jangling and 5pence - 50pencing it must be viewed as a successful campaign. It's absolutely vital to look long term which is why we have young, talented and hungry boys on 2 and 3 year deals, no small statement from a club on our budget and why the club backed a young manager again in January with fresh funds to bring in some required experience. If we stay up we have the backbone of a squad who know each other inside out. A squad with stability and invaluable experience from a tough first season in the big league. A squad capable of playing the most attacking and exciting brand of football I can remember in 25 years with the ability to grow and see out games. Something we can all admit we've struggled with, something that if remedied could secure us 20+ points. Yesterdays result aside. Look at the position we were in 24 months ago? The club has really changed from the bottom up for the better in recent years and is probably ahead of schedule. Back PTFC, back Archie, back the boys. Archie isn't going anywhere and the few negatives being highlighted are things that can be fixed with some personnel tinkering pre-season and hard work on the training ground. Stability is vital.
  13. According to a couple of posts I picked up on here and Off the Ball there were some pretty good chants for the returning Judai (I presume that's the plural) on Friday night. I couldn't get up for the game myself. Can anyone enlighten me to the latest additions to the Maryhill songbook?
