  1. Well a few beers in Falkirk ..... no idea what’s going to happen
  2. As I understood it it’s modular design that takes four weeks to assemble ....others at the meeting whom had some knowledge of the process thought that was possible got the impression model/plan will be at Firhill to look at soon
  3. Yes it was challenged as apparently we probably need 1.5 to 2 points from the remaining 23 games
  4. Confirmed no overdraft or debt....I think the interest was bank charges
  5. The interest is bank interest on our current accounts the staffing level is constant from last season... though hospitality as a revenue generator is getting more attention
  6. Ok here are some notes from tonight’s agm..... the income budget for this year is £2.7m and our goal is not too spend money we don’t have. We have no bank facilities or overdraft. I think we can add in the parachute payment, Celtic game - as we don’t budget for cup games - and the champions league payment. That will still result in a decline in income from last year. I think also points to some tough choices if we don’t get promoted. And a nightmare if we go down again. the club is actively trying to increase revenue from hospitality and stadium usage. the figure of 70 employees includes hospitality staff and match day staff. Office staff is 12 full time and 2 part time the same as last season. season tickets : adults 817 (964), concession 430 (497) , U16 460 (465) last season in brackets. As a way of trying to make us feel better Gerry stated the adult last time we were in the championship was 886. average home attendence this season is 2390 ( excluding the Celtic game ) we are still targeting promotion and we have a cunning plan well that’s the plan till it’s mathematically not possible at which point I assume it’s not the plan. Gary had a plan when he arrived and is implementing it eg fitness, training and injuries for January they have asked Gary to look at what he needs and will consider his proposals rather than say to him x budget is available. He is already working on it. training ground...looking positive and there was a meeting today ...council very positive. Site works will start soon with planning permission expected jan/Feb ....it’s a modular construction with a life span of 60-100 years, four weeks to assemble. Expect to in by summer. The cost will be the same as we pay now.
  7. I think the key question is : is the squad good enough on the evidence of two managers so far this season the answer is no
  8. You can’t sack a new manager after a few games as you would have to do the same with the next guy after a few games if he didn’t win either and that would be a dangerous cycle to get into Yesterday there were signs of improvement particularly in defence which is our big weakness.. we have to hope the improvement can continue there seems to be a view that a new manager could easily turn things around ....it’s a measure of how poor and unbalanced the squad is that we are where we are so you have to give Gary some time and the January transfer window to try and re jig the squad we will have to stop going about Archie soon but the squad is dreadful....we have 8 defenders and one o’ware is injured, of the remaining seven melbourne scobbie and Jeffries never play so the new manager has to play the same back four every week.....a total shambles
  9. Not good archie has a lot to answer for
  10. Can’t see how we have 95 staff unless you include Saturday only or the a ade y coaches
  11. Sorry your right ...it was £4.2m to 16/17 ...doesnt affect the numbers much archie had more cash than we thought
  12. Well income of the club increased to £4.5 up to Msy 2017 and there is no reason to assume there was a drastic reduction in players wages indeed probably at best we kept them flat but 1 if you assume the 70% was the ratio then that gives you £3.15m 2 if you assume we reduced it to 60% then that gives you £2.7m 3 keeping it flat at £2.9m sits at c 65% two comments that ratio at over 60% is not sustainable particularly as revenue declines in the championship and with the budget Archie has last year he really did screw up
  13. Some may have seen the SwissRamble analysis on Rangers results which also included data on other clubs including us......mind boggling that our wage to turnover ratio was 70 % to under achieve so much this chart is illuminating and depressing but to spend £700k more than Kilmarnock and get relegated is hard to believe
  14. This means last season Archie and the Board spent around £3m getting relegated .....assembling one of our worst teams and playing shit football to boot that is a major achievement
  15. No idea but I know keeping Archie has been a disaster
  16. Goes to my point ...the squad is woeful
  17. Going through the consultation phase now....expect to submit formal planning application within a couple of weeks
  18. You struggle to see us scoring more than one and conceding at least two
  19. Well three positives 1 new cash not dependent on any player moves for the manager in january 2. The new training ground ready for pre season next year 3. Regulars updates from the top
  20. I’m impressed that some people think that another manager could turn this squad into promotion candidates after 2 or 3 games....... guardiola would struggle with this lot
  21. Your analysis shows the shit Archie left us in
  22. We sacked Archie after 18 months if misery taking us from 6th in the premiership to 6th in the championship with a squad of dolts .., super achievement Who in our league is investing £2m in their playing squad as we are ? Clue it’s not Ayr Archie literally wasted millions
  23. So do I .... you can’t sack a manager after 3 games as that would become the measure for the next one but you can after three months if results are poor .... let’s agree the squad is poor and that’s Archie’s fault and if Caldwell is any good he will get them to mid table by Xmas
