I think the current AI situation proves my point. As do Brentford , Bournemouth etc
breaking a business even with a turnover of £3.2m and literally 2,3 or 4 variables … that’s easily doable
The women’s team is a distraction which detracts from the bigger and more important issues. Spend nothing on the women’s team we are still losing money.
why is it with income of £3.2m we find it soo hard to only spend £3.1m ?
it’s not complicated.
I would be happy if the new sporting director wasn’t Archibald or McCall or indeed had no connection with the club but was really really good at their job.
I guess we shall see but it’s not entirely clear what the starting point for the 20% reduction is ….on the other hand it may be we are finally not trying to spend money we don’t have
Recruitment is now a specialist role in football and a vital one at that.
im not sure how we have been doing it but its hard to deny it could be improved.
i wonder if anyone actually watched sayers, Williams or Nilsson before they were signed L
Personally I am happy to my views on any individual to one side if they are competent in identifying good players. Player recruitment is a key role in any club and our is pretty hit or miss.
a good development if we get the right person !
I think Robinson said that doolan said to him he would be offered a new contract but no offer was made. Hamilton then made an offer which was the only one he had.
The whole recruitment and squad building has been an utter shambles this season. You don’t have to be a genius to work out we are in cost cutting mode.
when we had 31 players in the first team squad a few people said ah but that includes 4 youngsters now we have a squad of 23 which eh includes 4 youngsters. We have a squad of 19 with one goalkeeper and one striker but thankfully 10 midfield players…..
clearly we are going to try and bring in one it two loanees with a keeper a priority.
we now have to hope we don’t get any injuries.
the squad is clearly weaker than it was with no strength in depth.
baffling stuff
The concern has to be we lose an attack minded player - 5 goals which is significant for us ! - for another out and out midfielder to join the 9 we already have.
I suspect Turner will move into the 10 role behind Graham but so far his form this season has been not great. Perhaps Ablade might get an opportunity you never know.
lets hope neither of our full backs get injured.
I have a gay daughter and supporting LBGG+ plus rights like the rights of every other human being is doing none of the things you assert.
bizarrely you support Espanyol in Spain where football and politics are so connected is unreal. At least you can see it there where here we just like to hide it.
you can’t ring fence football from the society you live in anymore than the arts or culture in general.
inclusuve doesn’t mean inclusive but not these guys it means everyone.
