While I don't disagree with you. I don't think he will be sacked before the Ayr game next week. Which imo is a must win game now. I think now that the chairperson has been changed he will find it harder to keep his job. My only worry is, as I say do we have the cash to do it.

I have said before, I don't think Caldwell would get away with a run of results like he had when he first came in. The only question for me is, if it came to it, do we have the money to sack him?

At my age and after supporting Thistle for so many years/ decades, I should know better. But when we went 2-0 up I thought, game over. We hadn't done a lot, but Morton had done even less and we were 2 goals ahead. As the game went on and time ticked by without Morton really doing much, I just thought don't do anything stupid Thistle. But then the Fox howler and the team just fell to pieces. I will never take it for granted that we have won a game again, until the final whistle.

While I don't disagree with what you say. Caldwell has on a number of occasions emphasised about the players he signs has the right character. Not a lot had the right character after Morton scored their first goal. Same as a few weeks ago against Utd.

Maybe the new board didn't want Caldwell to have any more money. If the showing tonight is anything to go by, he has wasted more than enough money on his team.

2-0 Up at half time against a Morton team who had done next to nothing for about 75minutes. We then gave them a goal and collapsed. The same against Dundee Utd, playing well. a goal up, concede, fall apart, lose game.

I know it is only 3 games in. But with Alloa playing Arbroath we are going to be in the bottom 2 after tomorrow.

Thought we played well, without looking dangerous before we scored. After we scored we looked a lot more dangerous and could have won it in 90 minutes. Overall I think we just deserved to win. Lets hope we can keep it going. Starting Friday night.

Sorry Barney, if Sevco were a goal ahead against Thistle there would never be 7 minutes injury time. If we were a goal ahead there would be 7 minutes injury time though.

As I said in my original just in post. I felt Fox flapped at a few corners. But he also pulled off a couple of god saves. I would keep Fox in goals for Morton game.

4 games at Firhill this season so far. We have won 3. 2Against lower league teams and 1 against higher league opposition. Lost our only league game at Firhill so far. We have scored 8 goals and conceded 6. Not bad entertainment so far imo. Any Thistle fan who missed the game yesterday, missed a good game and performance from Thistle. Lets hope we can keep it going.

Another few things about the game today. Is this the first time we have used 4 subs in a competitive match ? Also the crowd was 2053 and I think the announcer said 250 County fans. So only about 1750 Thistle fans, poor crowd for a game that we are trying to get to a national cup quarter final in.
