The old saying 'its not where you start, its where you finish'. With 3 games to go we need 2 wins to stay up, hope we get them and take stock in close season. If we stay up, I have no doubt Caldwell will be our manager next season. If this is the case, it should be with the caveat we are challenging for promotion next season.

I have no doubt if we stay up Caldwell will still be our manager next season. His/Thistle's record since January would Justify that. But I hope that there is no spin about him saving us from relegation. Our previous management team were sacked because the board felt we would not get promotion with them in charge. Caldwell was brought in with 27 games to play to at least challenge for promotion. On that front he has failed miserably.

Yes it was great to have a chat before the game. Then you and Sandy went to the posh seats in the JHS. While Partickthedog and I went to the John Lambie stand.

A bit surprised nobody has mentioned the goal we lost. We had 2 chances to clear the ball from our area and both times we miskicked the ball, the second time the ball fell to the Alloa player who scored. After that we had plenty of the ball but they put ten behind the ball and we didn't know what to do. The double substitution changed the game. Cardle took his goal well and Harkins had a good game. A very good 3 points, but we really need to play for 90+ minutes and not just 45. A win at Ayr would just about guarantee a play off at worst. But I would hope it would give us confidence to go on and beat them at Firhill next Saturday and surely that would give us safety.

Total respect to everybody who will be at Firhill tomorrow supporting the Jags.It's not the fans who haven't turned up over the past two years its the team. Against Dunfermline the fans got behind the team when we started to attack and we got it back to 2-1.
