  1. I know that we have got to our current position of being very positive and attacking, but is there a good case to start with Bannigan tomorrow. With Thistle having a two goal lead i feel that would give us extra protection between midfield and defence. This would mean either Lawless, Tiffoney or Fitzpatrick on the bench. Whoever was benched would be extremely unlucky and might have a part to play in the game later on. Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else but praise for the Ross County fans, from what i could see most joined in with the minutes applause for Hugh Strachan. C'mon Thistle.
  2. Some on ladders outside looking thru the windows.
  3. Yes. Sorry can't do a link, from the official site. But it is what you have already said.
  4. Hope we still need that box in front of the JHS for next seasons league games.
  5. Great first half. Second we looked the better team and should have scored at least one more, but as the game wore on i felt we got a bit sloppy and looked a bit tired. Rather be 2 goals up than 2 down but tie still not over. First goal on Sunday will be vital. Graham deserved MOTM, but another mention for Fitzpatrick, he was all over the park tonight.
  6. Agree. But we are also putting a similar amount into our own coffers. We should also thank the away fans who have travelled to Firhill, although we have taken more fans to the away games.
  7. We have played some of our best football in the playoff games and after the first leg against Queens Park our defence has looked solid, but we all know how quickly things can change. Imo anybody's game and as usual first goal will be vital. C'mon Dools Red and Yellow army.
  8. No. Only thing i have seen is about the John Lambie stand being sold out. Not sure how many away fans will be at Firhill. Probably 500 or so at the most.
  9. Agree. We have not been doing it the 'Thistle way' recently, and i am more than happy with it. If we continue playing in the manner we have done in the last 3 games in particular, it will take 2 very good performances from Ross County to win the tie. I am not saying we are favourites btw. I know we have sold out the John Lambie Stand but it would be great if the JHS was also sold out or close to it. The fans have been great this season and in the playoffs in particular, flairs excluded. So let's get right behind the team for one last time at Firhill this season. C'mon the Jags.
  10. Some photos of training on twitter, Banzo in one of them. If everybody is fit imo we should start with the starting XI we have started with in the last 3 matches. If required bring Banzo off the bench, later in the game.
  11. Agree. We are on a very good run and playing with confidence. Go at them from the first minute. As i said in the opening post imo we need to take a lead to Dingwall, the bigger the better.
  12. So far the home an away threads have seen Thistle win 5 games and draw 1. We have now reached the final 2 games of the season and it is Thistle against Ross County over 2 games to decide who will be in the Premier league and who will be in the Championship next season. Since the playoffs in particular Thistle have been in great scoring form and after losing 3 goals at home to Queens Park we have kept 3 clean sheets. Since i did not go to the game at Ibrox this will be the first game that i have attended that has VAR, so after 60 years or so of following Thistle a new experience for me. I hope our players are reminded that VAR is in operation and that things that would normally go unpunished will be scrutinised and could end up costing us the game. Looking forward to another big crowd, hopefully with no flares or any pyrotechnics. I think we will need a lead to take up to Dingwall, preferably by more than 1 goal. C'mon the Jags, just another 2 games and we could be playing Premier league football next season.
  13. I hope to see Thistle in the top flight next season. Don't care about any other club.
  14. The 'listen' whenever they speak also annoy's me, if i wasn't listening to them , i wouldn't hear them say 'listen'. Another annoying one for me is when they replay goals on the radio, pointless imo. Rant over for tonight. I will be back tomorrow and start Home and Away part 4. Hopefully as lucky for Thistle as parts 1-3.
  15. Kris has done all this and also had to cope with the loss of his Father. I hope after next Sunday he gets to spend more time with his family and has a good break.
  16. Agree with all of this. Also think it worth mentioning that Brownlie seems to have hit some good form since his mistake in the Ayr game at Firhill which ended 1-1. Although Mitchell looked at fault for the third against Queens Park in the first playoff game, he has also pulled off some important saves at important times in games. Hope i haven't hexed them now.
  17. Do we get some extra cash for it being on Sky ?
  18. I know he is manager of the women's team, but if we are going for somebody else as assistant i think Graham would be in with a shout.
  19. This will also not be popular. Imo McCall deserves credit for once again putting a very good squad together. But for whatever reason he just seems unable to take them up a level or two in performance. The difference between our last two league performances under our previous management team and our current form under the new management team is like night and day and long may it continue. For me the next test for Dools and Paul McDonald is this close season and next season, with so many first team starters out of contract and we are unsure at the moment of the finances as well, it will be a very interesting time to see who we sign, no matter what league we are in.
  20. About 5 minutes or so after the sending off it came up on the screen that Muirhead had been booked.
  21. Anybody know if the second leg will have VAR ?
