No team has an injury free season.The 13 games before the winter break 17 points.13 games after winter break,when injured players returned 9 points.so as I said results worse when injured players returned. Also Livingston had a number of players out for the play off games against us.

Not rumour or hear say but fact.If you look at our results from the season just finished they got worse when the injured players returned.Also the 2 play off games which we lost.Archibald has to prove he can build a team to at least challenge for promotion next season,imo not just for Thistles sake but his own as I would think his reputation took a big dive when we went down.

Look at it the other way they know what is required and what will be expected from them.If they want to play for Partick Thistle and help us back to the top league you are more than welcome.If you just want to come and get a wage for nothing you are not wanted.

While I agree with a lot you have said this is all the negative points.The positives are that he was our manager when we got promotion.I know a lot of fans say that was not his team,but I think I am right in saying we were unbeaten in the league under Archibald.He kept us in the top league for 5 seasons.He now has the chance to rebuild the team which would be his team.I think it is clear if we are not at least challenging for promotion he will be gone. I know we are taking a chance but even if we had sacked him and replaced him no matter who we got in we would be taking a chance.

The 3 players up for transfer are the last players we paid for,are we just trying to get some money back for them.If nobody is willing to pay money what happens.If we still have them at the beginning of the season will this impact on who bring in as we wont know what our requirements are and also what we have to spend budget wise?

That's what I think.Might see some in the league cup and challenge cup.Penrice and McCarthy are the only 2 I can see starting in the league.

If we have to get promotion,do we think the development squad players will be used much?

Also says Edwards doesn't fancy playing in the championship,typical attitude of some players when their team is relegated.Deserting the sinking ship as if it was nothing to do with them.

I would think there will be targets he has to achieve and who knows we might be getting for want of a better phrase a director of football who might assist with new players.Somebody said Jim Duffy was seen at Firhill on Monday,he has managed Morton in the championship for the last couple of years so we might see him coming in not as manager but in some other capacity.

I think it is quite clear that Archibald has been told we must get promoted next season and if that doesn't happen I would think he will be sacked/resign.

I don't think all the football was miserable over the past 4 years,also we were still in the top league.

It has been a terrible season for every Thistle fan,but doubly so for you having to watch the games and then trawl through all of our worst stats.Hope you have a good summer and come back next season refreshed and we have record breaking stats of a good nature for you to quote.

I would hope that we would get told if Archibald is staying or going within the next day or 2.Even if he is staying I would expect an announcement.Also on another point, some fans on this forum continued to defend Archibald all season and said he would keep us up. Since Sunday I don't recall seeing any of them giving their view if they think he should still be in charge next season. I would be interested to know what they think now.

I know we have to watch the money ,but the difference in prize money in the leagues just shows how costly relegation is going to be.And that is not taking into account the loss in other revenue streams.

In the good old days when people wanted to heat their house up they burned an item called coal for heat.To get rid of the smoke that was caused by burning the coal houses had things called chimneys or as some called them lums. Any way when Thistle were behind at Firhill the houses close by lums would emit smoke and make it extremely foggy and the game would need to be cancelled.Just like the fog machine we used at Cowdenbeath in 2013.
