  1. We started slowly. Didn't really do much in the first 25 minutes or so after that we were more on the front foot. A brilliant goal by Alston and then Fitzpatrick's bullet header made it 2-0, 5 minutes or so into the second half game over as Aiden scores his second and Thistle's 3rd. Good all round performance from the team and Fitzpatrick deserved his MOTM award. Special mention for Lawless, Williams, Neilson and Stanway.

Bring back the good old days when you could turn up and pay your money at the gate, wonder what happened to all the guys that worked the turnstiles???

For games not covered by season ticket i go up to portacabin behind JHS and get my ticket there on the day of the game.

IIRC before covid you could add games not covered by the season ticket on to the ticket either via online or a phone call to the office.

There should be at some point but our camera angle was pitchside. Aberdeen had an elevated position and the goals are on the SWPL socials.

Meantime here's our third goal and Brian getting his celebration a bit wrong.

Another red card for BBG.  :D

Stating the obvious but football games are always a combination of performance and result. Sometimes both are good, other times they are both bad and sometimes one can be good with the other being bad. The most important of the two is always result and today it was good.

Agree. I have already said i wasn't at the game today so cannot comment on our performance. Morton are bottom of the league, but imo it was never going to be an easy game. Although they have lost their last 2 league games i felt they were unlucky against Dunfermline last week not to get at least a draw. They are in a battle at the bottom of the league and are in danger of being cut adrift. Teams in that position never make games easy.

We are now 5 points ahead of Airdrie and 8 points ahead of Dunfermline and Ayr, although Dunfermline have 2 games in hand. So our next home league game against Airdrie is another big game. Win that and we are consolidating our top 4 place.

Brian Graham is the sort of player that you either love or loathe. If he is playing for your team, you love him but if not, you loathe him. I don't know how long his suspension will be but i just hope it is not a costly one for us.

From the John Lambie Stand could not see how good that finish by Alston was. Great to see it now.

I remember we scored the winner against Raith Rovers a few seasons ago, but the fog was so bad i only knew we had scored by the reaction of the crowd and the players. Didn't see the goal at all until about 5 hours after it was scored.

Massively biased of course but I've always loved how it looked, through the ages.

It's a magical thing to walk towards and become part of Firhill.

Agree. Unfortunately due to illness i won't be in my usual spot today. But will be there in spirit.

  8. Although Morton are bottom of the league this won't be an easy game. I watched most of their game against Dunfermline on BBC Scotland last week and Morton were not great in the first half but vastly improved in the second and were unlucky not to get a draw at least.

As has already been mentioned we will need just about every player to be playing at the top of their game and hopefully that will be enough to get 3 points.
