  1. Yes, came across well in his interview, despite it being the run of the mill questions -hopefully a decent attitude and positive addition to the dressing room. He actually reminded me a bit of Harry Milne which is no bad thing. Squad slowly taking shape.
  2. Yup. I think we'll all get better at spotting AI generated content. Fair to say that that particular article must've been an AI assisted effort prompted by someone fluent in corporate speak.
  3. Here's the chatgpt authored article about it. It's pioneering apparently. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/david-elliot-appointed-head-coach-of-partick-thistle-womens-fc/
  4. Has who's the new club captain been announced yet? Going on the strip promo, my guess that it's Lee Ashcroft. Which is the obvious choice anyway.
  5. Maybe the leaks have been plugged.
  6. All to do with how the coaches work together. Mark Wilson comes across as being an easy going affable sort of person, so maybe someone who's capable of playing the bad cop part is what we need.
  7. Pleased to have him back. And another known quantity who's already familiar with our senior defenders. I thought he looked good at getting the ball in play without punting away possession - always a plus for me.
  8. What's going on? Lots of people coming up with their own guesses and theories then sharing them on social media. The signal to noise ratio is very poor. But I guess we're all used to it by now.
  9. Of course Mark Wilson is doing more work - people tend to chip in during periods of adversity. The club has hired a recruitment lead. Baraclough is hospitalised. What more do you think the club should be doing in the circumstances? And do you not think there's a strong possibility that the club made Bannigan an offer, possibly reduced from last season, and Bannigan then decided to have a look elsewhere? Essentially two different opinions of his value. And if this is nearer to the truth, your assessment of his worth appears to be pretty much in line with the club's. There's always got to be a scapegoat - can't point the finger at the head coach at the moment, so let's blame the board for everything.
  10. Pleased we have signed someone and he's of known championship level quality
  11. Agree with this in spirit. I always saw the potential of more dimensions to our play on the rare occasions he was subbed.
  12. I saw a rumour that the story about the rumour about the guess that we're trying to sign Guthrie was made up by a Livi supporter posting onTwitter - that bastion of accurate information. As for the Ruth fable sounding like another complete guess - who knows.
  13. Of course he does. Especially so when the guy everyone is moaning about is lying in a hospital bed in Mauritius. Do people seriously think that others, including Mark Wilson, haven't stepped up to help out? Can't believe the number of hand-wringing, clubs in chaos posts there are nowadays. God help us when we actually start playing games again and people have to deal with the inevitable rollecoaster season. Social media is just so febrile now - doom scrolling our lives away...
  14. Possibly do have a provisional budget - just not signed off, i.e. a formality.
  15. I think fans need to reflect on this too. There is a voracious and seemingly endless appetite for updates - full disclosure on everything. If there is even the slightest delay in info flowing out of the club, someone on social media makes assumptions and another baseless rumour takes hold. Yes, there is considerable scope to improve approach to communications, but sometimes things need to be kept private, and we all need to (re)learn to accept this.
  16. Fairly predictable. Quite a lot of work to be done then, considering the first four, maybe five, names on the list are either long-term injured or likely/rumoured to be leaving. Banzo - I'd keep - continuity/experience in the dressing room - easy to take that for granted if you judge a player purely by what you see on the park. Although IMO his performances haven't been as poor as some think. Especially when you consider the role he's been asked to undertake in a midfield which has lacked balance for a long time.
  17. Like any management arrangement, I suspect the finer detail of who does what very much depends on who is involved and how they get on. Now that Baraclough and Wilson are in post, they'll be working hard at playing catch-up and establishing an effective working relationship. They both come across as reasonable people who'll be capable of taking a collegiate approach. Once the decision was taken to keep Graham and Wilson as co-managers until the end of the season, which was an entirely reasonable decision to make, there really was no way of avoiding a period of uncertainty at start of close season. I would imagine Baraclough has been working on some things he would ordinarily expect the coach to do, given the circumstances. Here's hoping anyway. All the best Mark and Ian. And all the best to you all - think this is a good point to finish.
  18. Yes. That's how facts work now.
  19. This is fantasy. You don't know what Graham or Imrie really think, so why make it up on a public forum? You're allowed to think things, without typing them out for everyone else to see.
  20. I actually think the way things are talked about on social media is rotten to the core. People getting whipped up into a froth about a recruitment process which turned out to be slightly trickier than expected. I have mixed feelings about this forum closing. Ban me.
  21. An unsubstantiated rumour, so not really a basis for making a case against the Sporting Director. In my opinion anyway.
  22. Exactly. Doubt he's the one chronically posting unsubstantiated nonsense on social media or whispering in the ear of his mate who fancies himself as a journo. Maybe he will have learned a lot about who he can trust.
  23. Prominent TJF member? Just a supporter then? If you could pass back through the chain of sweetie wives - please shut the fck up - you're damaging the reputation of the club you claim to support. Who would apply to be manager or whatever at an organisation if you think there's a risk the business is going to be conducted in public.
  24. Of course, it could be candidate(s) or their agents doing the gossiping. Must be embarrassing for anyone involved, who actually cares about the reputation of the organisation.
  25. Peak rumour mongering and gossip on this. It's pathetic. Whoever is leaking to the press or whatever is triggering this should be ashamed of themselves. We shouldn't know there's a shortlist of four. We shouldn't know Brian Graham has turned us down. This isn't how recruitment is conducted.
