Maybe we won't win the league - but the progress that some of the players have made huge improvements. The football for the most part has been brilliant to watch. We should enjoy it when it is going
I kind of agree with lewcal. The problem is that these reverses have the trickle effect of having an adverse effect on confidence. The players get more anxious, don't play so well, lose and so it continues. A good result any way we get it is required soon.
It has been a poor run. Fortunately Dunfermline also lost today. We are 5 points behind Morton. We need to pick up maximum points from our home games and try to get something away from home. Still not panicking - just
If anybody else is interested in any of our players or management team, they don't need to wait until something is put in the press. They will be able to find out what it will take to entice them away, pretty easily. All they need to do is ask the agent or player/manager. The article isn't doing anything to jeopardise our position.
Read a comment from Green. It said something like "in what country in the world, do you win the division, and end up playing he same teams the following season" Eh, is that not what happens in EVERY top division in the world ?
It's not the lack of games that is the issue for the clubs - it is the drop in Gate revenue. I am sure that the collective could think of some other way to generate television revenue. Scottish football probably needs better negotiators.
In the last 10 or so years 70 points has been what has been needed to win the league. If we continue getting an average of 2 points per game, which is what we have so far, we will get 72 points which should be enough. I don't think our away form will lose the league. It will be our home form that wins it. We have had 3 poorish results last 3 games and we are still just 2 points behind with 2 in hand. Still not time to panic
If anybody isn't interested in this, they don't need to read it,far less contribute. The thread would soon fizzle out if nobody added anything.
Out of interest what was the attendance the last time we played at Livingston
Airdrie's problems started when they knocked down Broomfield and went on the road or all those years. When they were at Broadwood, I think their attendance was 1100 or 1200. My feeling is that their crowds of 700 to 800 is poor based on recent history.
Incidentally, I also think that our crowds are poor.
Bannigan seems to be gettin further and further forward in some teams. Started the season at left back, then into defensive midfield, now attacking midfield. He's our backup for Doolan if he leaves! Just joking. He is versatile and hasn't let us down in an position so far.
This is a good move for both. Rowson,I think, would struggle to get up to match fitness with us. However, if he gets games at Stenny, he will be ready to step in when he comes back.
I am not disputing that at all - but we have cover for RB. If we are going to spend money(on wages) then it should be for positions where we don't have enough cover which is probably CB. I think this is the area that we are light. I can't think who would play if 2 of either Muirhead,Archie or Balatoni were out.
