Agree with most of your points there. Only thing I would say is that I don't think you can completely discount the issue of our budget, and I think Tom Hosie hit the nail on the head about Premiership experience being an issue, rather than average age.

No I understand his point fully, which is that the players he mentioned are "useless" and should be "kicked out of the club" because of their "lack of ability". Now, I disagree to an extent, however let's put that to one side for a minute. Say I agree, I am merely asking that should he get his wish, then which talented players are out there who are available, willing to come to Firhill and would accept the money we would be able to offer? It's not difficult to just say "Aye, he's pish, and him, and him....."

It's ok, I'm sure Noel is just about to furnish us with a long list of players who are available, within our price range, and willing to come to Firhill who are all just stacked with ability. Any minute now.......

You're not shouting for that tho, you're shouting for the guy to be sacked. Whether he is sacked or given help is up to the directors. What you can do is be vocal and give him, and the team, your support. So even if it doesn't work out you can say "I gave him a fair chance, and my backing, but he just wasn't up to it. Shame"..........rather than " I helped to hound a guy out of his job before he had a chance to turn it around. Aren't I big? Aren't I clever?".

All I will say is be careful what you wish for chaps. Personally, I think the best way to get out of this slump is to stick together as a club. Roar the team on even more than you normally would. This is where you really earn your corn as a fan. If we change manager every time we go on a bad wee run (and employ a new manager who is even less experianced than our current manager) then we will go backwards year on year on year. I'm not asking anyone to go and sing about how wonderful Archie is, as I'm not stupid and I realise that a run like this will always put him under a certain amount of pressure. I see people who are calling for his head saying about how they'd be delighted to see him turn it around. Well, he's only going to do that with your support............so support him!

It's not a myth. Most clubs who are successful in their dealings in January have to pay thru the nose to get the quality in that they want. We don't have that option. I'm not saying its impossible, I'm saying it's very difficult, and it's got nothing to do with Archie having any lack of contacts, which I'm not sure he has anyway.

Interesting whenever you confront The Rangers fans or sellik fans with clear evidence like this. They deny deny deny until it is utterly undeniable,and at that point they say "well, out of 60,000 fans it's only a hundred or so, and every club has it's idiots". Oh, that makes it fine then.....

The quotes from Archie in the article are exactly the same things that Wenger, Mourinho and before them, Fergie said about the January transfer window. It's historically a notoriously difficult time to pick up the right players, no matter who you are. It's got nothing to do with Archies contacts, or percieved lack of them.
