  1. Are you genuinely serious here? 1st point is he's not in the PL as Wigan got relegated last season. I'm not sure how much EPL you seen last season, but Wigan got great plaudits for being a really good football side last season. Yes, they went down but they went down playing good football, especially going forward. Anyone who watched Motd regularly last season will know that Maloney was the absolute heart of that good football. I genuinely used to think he was a bit of a sand-dancer at sellik but his football has grown into something of real quality. I'm actually amazed no EPL team has bought him by now. I agree Griffiths (as much as I hate him) and Rhodes are the future, but not at the expense of Maloney, not for a couple of years at least.
  2. As a Liverpool fan it's a VERY shit film! Damned United was pretty good. I tend to not watch football movies or TV football "dramas" because the on the pitch "action" is so amazingly lame.
  3. Archie taking notes in the crowd there. I hope his notes read - TOFAY!
  4. Lambie would need the 10 second delay button.
  5. According to this http://liveonsat.com/los__FT_br_scottish_ALL.php we're on telekanal futbol. I just hope the emphasis isn't on the "anal" bit
  6. A few posters on here yesterday saying how they were glad that Thomson was going to be the ref. Wonder how they feel now? The guy is an utter tool, always bricks it from giving big decisions against so called bigger clubs. That is as much of a red card as you'll see this season, and it's 5 yards away from him. The second one he also has a perfect view of, yet with 2 feet off the ground he decides it's not even a foul? Again with a perfect view of it. I repeat..........utter tool.
  7. That is a great hat trick. Every finish is brilliant quality. Jags fans hated him at first (to be fair he was pish when he first joined) but I love it when a player turns it round at a club.
  8. Jumped in a fastblack to the brass monkey. Sorted!
  9. Anyone know of pubs in Glasgow City centre that are showing the game? Mate from works leaving night and I couldn't persuade the guys to actually come to the game so watch it in the pub is my best option. Only thing is I don't think many pubs have got the BT Sport channel?
  10. Or we could just save a lot of time and you could maybe let us all know in advance what topics are acceptable to post on a public forum?
  11. Hearts on bbc saying that they wouldn't rule out becoming a "newco". Maybe every club in Scotland should go down the newco route? That way we all start from scratch, debt free? What an absolute joke. If hearts die then that's it. Any hearts newco should not be permitted entry straight into the 3rd division.
  12. You were Mighty Mouse to my Hotshot Hamish, Si! Sorry to see the team fold. Had fun times and made some good friends.
  13. Agreed I think Beattie has done a good job since taking over. It's a difficult balancing act I'm sure and he won't always get it right. I believe he's got the interests of the club at heart (possibly aswell as his own, but there's nothing wrong with that I suppose) and as has been said, compared to other chairmen, both of other clubs and our own, over the last ten years he's been a godsend. Exactly what we needed at the right time. Thanks David
  14. I think it's quite nice. Also the back will look much better when there's a number in it, hopefully a red number.
  15. Selling off everything, especially players, for the first derogatory offer that comes along isn't necessarily always in the best interests of the creditors tho.
  16. Sorry to keep this going but I wonder if the fact that all parties involved are satisfied means that the current Dundee United manager has been paid his bonus he reckons he was due from us?
  17. Oh dear.........what a pity...............never mind........................
  18. Absolutely, he's got time on his side to iron those mistakes out of his game. Unlike Caldwell...
  19. If you examine Hanley then you'll find he shares 87% DNA with Titus Bramble. Can be excellent for most of the match but is always prone to a clanger. Agreed Snoddy was excellent and was my motm. As he was against Wales before he stupidly got sent off.
  20. To be honest I don't really care how much work my lone striker puts in. Chasing 4 defenders for the whole match is pointless if you have absolutely no ball retention whatsoever. He posed no danger, lost possession almost every time he got a touch and never ever looked like he would trouble their goal. He deserves a little credit for his work rate but nothing more. If you think that he was outstanding then fair enough that's your opinion but not for me. Problem is a lone striker needs to have a great work ethic combined with an ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Pace and to be able to finish the very few chances that come your way are also important. That's why Miller was a good striker for us in this system. I don't see either Rhodes or Griffiths being great at this role for us long term. I think both are better as part of a front two, but would that throw our entire shape out?
  21. Riordan can do one. One of the supreme wasters of Scottish Football in recent times, and akin to his mate O'connor regarding certain "off-field" issues. I seriously hope we have nothing to do with him.
  22. As previously stated, I'm all for keeping the song. But changing the lyrics to some nonsense? I'd rather do away with it.
  23. To be fair, I was quite vocal in my disapproval of the pitch invasions because of the direct threat of trouble for the club, not just potential. Quite a lot on here shouted me down as "it's just a bit of harmless fun". Apparently it's ok to get the club into trouble for a bit of fun but not to make a stand against bigotry. Strange.
