  1. Eh, think that would be a bit cheeky......good but considering they were 2-1 up....mind you would be fun to laugh at Morton
  2. Phew!, could be a wee blessing....2-1 with 20 to go?!?!?!?
  3. Point 1. This is his third sending off in just over half a season. To be booked already and do what he did was blatant stupidity, no other way to look at it. Al the others may have cost points but that's a circumstance that cannot be used in comparison you can't predict what the outcome is going to be however the odds are swayed, but the other lads have gone ONCE. I'm sure Murray is dissapointed with himself today looking back, damage done and it coulda been worse. There's no comparing his and the other guys actions.
  4. Aye, good point's made by Archie, a little dissapointed he's publicly had a wee go at Erskine though, and seemed to make a big thing about how well he thought Murray had done? Maybe he's just seen it from a 'footballers/managers' view, or has he been reacting to this forum re Murray on that score?? Anyway, good point to have although bitterly dissapointed we didn't hang on for three, really hope we can put the pressure on Morton, think Archie's job will be trying to curb over anxiety in his young squad, it's getting to be tense with the league and cup final looming. Hopefully he can instill a 'no fear' mental streak in the lads. Mon the Jags!!
  5. Well, amount not worth talking about I'd guess. Dundee Utd slashing costs everywhere. It will be a paltry sum.
  6. Yes, biggest threat is Jan window, or an injury crisis. League and cup double for me. Mon the Jags!!!
  7. Absolutely gutted to be scheduled offshore both on 26th and for the Ramsden's final. What a great wee video, fantastic!
  8. Point though' agree with everything he's said today.
  9. V Falkirk 1975/6? pre-season, 1-1 draw. Went on to win Promotion to the premier div with Bertie Auld. 10 yrs old. Went with an older mate from School. Jeez. I'm getting on a bit!
  10. Easter road. Get us aw in for the first final since 71!
  11. Ha ha...had to steal this folks.... "Queen of the South are to be kicked out of the Ramsdens Cup after it emerged many of their players have duel contracts. Upon further investigation it proved that as well as their standard footballing contract, many of the players also had contracts as Brickies, Plumbers, Sparks & Postmen. A relieved Charles Green said he is delighted with the verdict as it saves him from now having to buy QoS's history to claim their place in the next round!
  12. Kinda sums up the mentality of too many a 'supposed' football supporters in this country. What exactly the lad was chastised for what could be put down to many of the reasons already mentioned. I watched the game offshore in a communal tv lounge to hear an Aberdeen fan say, "it's because he a f#*#*#*g H*n, he deserves it" another because he's an ex Jambo, etc. What the f**k is that all about other than lonely brain cells?? Regardless of whether you agree with Levein picking him , another issue altogether, (I wonder if anyone can work out his decision making), no-one contradicts himself more! But the point is, the lad was wearing the Dark Blue of Scotland, his debut FFS, how proud should he have felt? his family? There's been plenty players through the years been given crap in the same vein, it's not new, but I genuinely feel for the guy. There's one or two of players out there who have decided they are 'Not Playing" for their country for one reason or another, what the hell has Ian Black done to deserve this? Shame on everyone who has that sh*$^y attitude, to boo the guy. Whatever the reason. Pathetic.
  13. Sorry if it's been muted before, but why is there even a discussion about Dundee replacing Rangers int the top flight? After all the financial crap Dundee have been involved in, twice is it, in ten years going bankrupt ? and, as stated, they are the 14th best team in Scotland, Dunfermline 12th, talk about falling in the Clyde and coming out with a salmon in your pocket!!
  14. Inverness, along to new highland league champs Forres, then to finish, hopefully. Newly promoted to division 2 Elgin City.
  15. Some people are never happy. Well done to all those who made the trip and 'supported' the Jags on a great away day, of which there have been too few this or many other season's.. You must be an absolute hoot on a night out. Maybe, just maybe, he is carrying a knock etc? or indeed, as suggested, keeping him fit for next week?
  16. Consistencies from the programme 20 years ago...... 1. All seemed to agree it has to change. 2. They cannot agree to change. 3. The differences between Scottish football and most comparable small European countries outlook and attitude remains. 4. Lack of investment. 5. Lack of grass root level facilities. The list goes on, but it's actually WORSE, as Euro competition results prove, it was all PREDICTED 20 years ago. NO PROGRESS WHATSOEVER.
  17. Had a feeling last week when seeing it was nil-nil at half tim e, felt we'd loose to a late goal, even wose turned to the wife last night, seeing on the live txt updates 0-0 at eighty minuites " bet you we lose a goal in the 87th min, christ, soooooo mad when we conceded!! It's becoming a stat as bad as NOT being able to score from set pieces!!!
  18. This subject was mooted before, I was very much against it then, but as they say, reality bites. Could moving with the warriors to Scotstoun be an option? with a synthetic pitch (if the new modern versions are ok for rugby?) My thoughts being, that it's relatively easy to get to (good rail link ) and bus services, it's the North West of town, and has proper training and all weather facilities. Selling up and using the finances gained could possibly be used in agreement with Glasgow City council to enhance what is an already improving and excellent facility. Just a thought!
  19. Away to Elgin would be tops!
  20. Did we not try to sign Kevin Radcliffe years ago??
  21. Overall McCall has done a great job since coming to Firhill. He made money to help keep the club afloat with the signings of Harkins and Twaddle. Unearthed Doolan, Paton,Fox,Boyle,Erskine all for free, who may go on to bigger things, there have been very few transfers in recent years from Div 1, but we still got money. I fear that one of the major points of having McCall was that one aspect of any signings was for other players to look at who already has come here(see above) and not become better players and been given a chance. Do people honestly think that signing players like this was not the only way forward for the Jags along with instigating a youth policy (long overdue)My fear being that this is scrapped next. McCall said on many occassions about his 5 year plan, now you can take it with a pinch of salt or whatever, but maybe look at it like this. It's got to the stage where he has to lose Buchanan. No fee, just 'off the wage bill'. Dwindling crowds. week after week he's been thanking 'those who have turned up' but how soul destroying must that be week in week out. I know he could paint a better picture at times than what reality was, "we've not lost a goal in open play in 900 odd mins"etc "We've been on good form of late" (and actually won few game's but din't loose any) I think Dundee must have been a wee calling card and got him thinking, if he lost heart I don't actually blame him. I don't think he failed to deliver at all, I do believe though, that certain expectations, realistic or not were agreed within the club that have not been met. I'm not blaming the board at all, but FFS, can they not just come out and be honest and tell us the story from their side? McCall should go with all our best wishes, anybody not think we are one hell of a lot better off than the times of div 2 and the Peterhead drama? Many thanks Ian for trying to give us a team playing attractive football.
  22. Wikipedia have it posted he has accepted the job at Kilmarnock Just seen on P&B
  23. It wasn't British perspective. It was English. On British telly.
