  1. Erm, that we don't know ANYTHING about the deal other than an amount. You and Grant should go away, knock heads, and then come back.
  2. Work sometimes precludes that, but non-attendance shouldn't prevent questions being asked or answers given. Now toddle on.
  3. Telling fans at Firhill today he's signed a deal til the end of the season.
  4. Witteveen and Smith the opposing strikers.
  5. You'll be popping down pitchside today to tell Donnelly exactly how you feel, then?
  6. I took it from the first piece that the £100,000 had to be raised before the end of the season. Although the second piece makes note of a £50,000 sponsorship it doesn't state the terms of that deal i.e. the duration of time that money is stretched across. Is it £50,000 between now and May? Does it extend into next season and next season's debt? It raises questions rather than providing answers. I'd also add that I'm extremely suspicious of a deal that isn't communicated more widely than the programme and is confined to one line.
  7. Thing is, Junior, I shouldn't have to. They should be addressing us, the fans. You know, the guys who they were clear to state owned the club with them. It's scaremongering until we hear something concrete.
  8. ...what? With news of Dundee's failed appeal thrusting the strife faced by financially unstable firmly in our faces, I would hope our board would outline exactly what failure to plug that shortfall would mean for Partick Thistle. Remember, now is a "crucial time in the club's history". So crucial, in fact, that other than a fleeting mention of a sponsorship deal, nor more has been said publicly about this matter since this matter since 11 December. The club requested our help at that time. I'm certain that the majority of Thistle fans would be prepared to throw every fibre of their being into fundraising - hell, we've done it before - but we have to be aware of the full scope of the problem we're facing. We've already had a previous board member cry wolf on a past forum. Is this more of the same? It wouldn't appear so, but every passing day lessens the urgency with which we view our situation. It's time for the silence to be broken and our directors to speak. NOW.
  9. I baulked at the sales at the time, but thank Christ someone at the club had the balls to sell off two of our better players. Could easily have been us facing this situation.
  10. In what way is that likely to impact on his current position?
  11. Can any recent emergency loan signings really be classed as 'emergencies'? Anyway, I've already outlined why, as I'm led to believe, it would be a non starter.
  12. No, but it led to a replay and further revenue. Moron.
  13. Beeb team lines taken from PA, as far as I know.
  14. No worries. Forgive me for being cynical when it comes to 'important' messages in the programme. The last time we were advised of that we were read rumours relating to administration were wide of the mark only to be informed of a £100,000 shortfall a few weeks later.
  15. I don't think it's possible to make cross-border emergency loans. Griffiths won't be returning to Dundee, if sold. His apparent destination is Swansea.
  16. Will we, or won't we? I may have misjudged some of your recent posts, but I was under the impression you had some idea what was going on behind the scenes.
  17. As do I. Perhaps track down and invite a living relative of the 1921 team to present our 'player of the decade' with a memento? The only problem with a Saturday is that many of the guys who are likely to make that 'team of the decade' are still likely to be involved in football which may be a barrier to their attendance.
  18. Exactly. It would have been my wish to have seen that outlined in the Herald piece which, in my opinion, was an empty exercise. It may be that the board isn't in a position to do that just yet. If that's the case, then it shouldn't be leaking information to the press that's going to result in a restless support becoming more agitated. I'd still like to know if Chap With Wings has extended the offer of a Q&A that was agreed to by AC to the new men pulling the strings. We were titilated with information regarding a "uniqe" venture almost five weeks ago and have since heard nothing. If the club's situation is as serious as made out in the same piece then how long can we be expected to hang on for an update?
  19. I assume you missed his pass to Fraser during the build up to our equaliser? Slows things up? Negative player?
  20. Thoughts? Who is the spokesman and why hasn't this been communicated to the fans before the press? Is this the "unique" offering Beattie spoke of? If so, what's unique about it?
  21. Well, looking at the other names you've highlighted I'd take a wild guess at him working with the forwards.
