No it isn’t. Must win or what ? If we lose it changes nothing. Promotion will still be the target, we will all still be Thistle supporters, JJ will still be waffling on about football comities and global warming will still be a concern. It would be a good game to win, but please don’t overhype things with pointless cliches.

You conveniently forget that your mate also signed some complete duds. I was never convinced about the hype over his signings, so that “no one” statement is an absolute lie.

Actually there are at least 2 ways. Drop him and see if things improve, or keep playing him and see if he starts scoring for fun

Perhaps there wasn’t an option. It could be that the agent was asking for 3 years or no deal. Based on timing, I suspect that he wasn’t the first choice, so maybe a few had turned down 1 year deals and it was 3 years or miss out again.

The criticism last year was that we scored goals, but couldn’t defend. Looks like he has sorted that, but at a cost. Gung-ho isn’t the answer. He needs to find a happy medium

By my count we have 5 players who have played up front at some point. And being reliant on last seasons top scorer is not that far fetched. I would still put money on him scoring more than Dowds over the season.

It all just shows how poor the current Scotland squad is. Neither Preston nor Norwich Reserves have top players. The big disaster for the Euros was a QPR striker getting injured. We have some great players in some positions, but total dross in others

I am pleased for Liam, but it does show how dire the Scottish squad is when they are looking at Preston players.

I’ll defend Brian Graham and say that Haaland wouldn’t score with the service he is currently getting. All our problems are in the midfield who are creating the square root of nada.
