  1. Looks like end of April before we can get going again. Not sure what sort of season can be salvaged from there
  2. And he got us into Europe Well Anglo Scottish Cup, but close enough.
  3. Bugger all else to speculate and pontificate about. I'd take him if it meant the end of McCall
  4. I’ll tell you on Wednesday when I’ve won the Euromillions.
  5. And this is the problem for us, and why there will be no foreign travel (or holidays) for quite some time. It is fine for the UK to ramp up the vaccines and have 80% vaccinated by the end of the summer, but if the rest of the world is lagging behind, we don't want travelers bringing more covid back. The vaccine stops the illness, it doesn't stop you picking up and transferring the virus to others. What we don't want is someone bringing in a new variant that is vaccine resistant, or a new variant developing here. The more virus in the country, the more chance of it mutating.
  6. I missed that about the corridors being closed. I’ve not been out my post code since before Christmas
  7. Is Norway on the list of countries where aerials in England need to isolate ? Could you fly to Manchester or Newcastle then get a train to Aberdeen ?
  8. I said a couple of weeks ago that they wouldn’t even discuss restarting until the National lockdown level drops. I’m not saying it is right or justified, but it would send out the wrong message if they were to open up football while telling everyone else to stay at home and batten down the hatches.
  9. On what grounds ? Nobody forced us to stay full time in a mainly part time league and there was no prejudice against us, it was all clubs in our league.
  10. We’ve not been on a preseason tour since the League Cup groups were reintroduced. No big loss
  11. Assuming we don’t get an agreement on a league reconstruction. Null and void this season as if it didn’t happen. No promotion or relegation. Start again from scratch in August or whenever we can Prize money distributed evenly
  12. So, even if there was the opportunity for a full season, all we would get is the remainder of this one. Add to that, we would start with a 6 point deficit to Falkirk. Forgive me if I’m not a fan
  13. We only have ourselves to blame for that. We should not have been bottom when the leagues were called last season.
  14. In England, step 3 and below of the National league system have been stopped. So National League North/South are the lowest which can play.
  15. The vast majority of National League sides (including Ebbsfleet Utd) are full time. Ebbsfleet also have big money Kuwaiti owners, so yes, they are probably playing at a higher level than us. Also worth noting .... Ebbsfleet United were controversially relegated by 0.002 points after the league was determined on a points per game basis, despite being out of the relegation zone and in the top 3 form sides of the league when the competition ended.
  16. Agree with all the counter arguments .... but with the current approach they are seen to be doing something while impacting as few as possible.
  17. I’m not condoning it, but putting forward an argument they the footballing authorities PR machine might use. By stopping the lower 2 divisions it is an 89.5% reduction in the number of part time teams travelling the country every week. It is also a 47% reduction of the total number of players travelling out of their local area. These are significant contributions to the fight against COVID (their argument, not mine) By continuing the Championship it maintains the integrity of the SPL as there is still the jeopardy of relegation, maintaining the status for TV companies to keep interested.
  18. I thought that was summer football in Glasgow
  19. There is a huge difference in the message given between continuing the Premier/Championship and restarting Leagues 1/2.
  20. An article from the Sun on pie & bovril. How can anyone doubt the authenticity ? I said weeks ago and still believe, there will be no possibility of discussing restarting while the bulk of the country is in tier 4
  21. Hopefully not ..... and he comes back to us and then kick starts his career
  22. Because they pay a lot more than he is currently getting ? That would do it for most
  23. Stoke would be pleased to offload him.
