  1. Good win, but I thought they were ver poor. When they couldn’t out muscle us, there was no plan B. both goals were well taken and came from good wide play and late runs into the box
  2. Assuming that the consortium is off the table (and I'll wait until official confirmation before believing that) Are you now saying that there is a third option ... status quo ? Or are you saying all in with TfE as it is the only way forward ?
  3. I don't know if it was why, but he was outspoken about the owners recruitment policy, saying he needed some experience rather than just kids (I paraphrase). That probably doesn't help
  4. Why should I not be ? Norman Springford was satisfied by it, or is he not to be trusted either ?
  5. That is one hell of a claim. Is that supposition, or do you have any facts to back that up ?
  6. Sorry to but in, but my main criticism of the consortium is that they will work for personal profit, while the TfE team will be working for the profit of PTFC.
  7. He is a million miles away. Not even getting a regular game for a struggling Stoke side. Supporters have written him off
  8. Guys. Who supported which previous manager has nothing to do with which buyers is better for the future of Thistle. With very little available hard facts on either side, we can only go on the concepts. Conceptually I do like the idea of fan ownership if it is setup right and we have the correct governance in place. I have backed them so that I can have my say in how (if successful) it is setup and I can always remove any funding if I don't like what I see. Conceptually I do not like the idea of money men coming in to profit out of Thistle. The fact that the current offer is from a group that have a questionable record at their previous clubs and are not popular with the supports of either does not work in their favour. (Peronally, I don't and have never liked McCall, but I think I'm in a minority of 1 on that one, so I'll not even try to argue it.)
  9. And here was what I was asking.
  10. I agree. Barnsley are traditionally a lower Championship/upper League One side. They are where they traditionally are. I do not consider that to have been transformational.
  11. Is there any evidence from their tenures at Nice or Barnsley that supports the board statement that this will be transformational for Thistle in a good way ? Everything I have read is negative.
  12. I think that Mansell is onside. There is clearly one defender behind him and the keeper is running back, but hidden by Mansell in that frame. The other jag is not interfering in play
  13. Hopefully on topic. An interesting read for those that like the idea of big data analysis of player potential. https://www.modernfitba.com/blogs/2018/5/10/diamonds-in-the-rough-miles-storey
  14. Not much celebration for either goal. I still don't like short corners !
  15. Does the cheep beer not result in more spilt pakora sauce ?
  16. I do admire ambition although I doubt it is a realistic achievement. I personally wouldn't hold that against TfE if they don't succeed, I am more interested in the long term sustainability and ownership.
  17. Chelsea and Man City were hardly established big clubs before the money men arrived.
  18. If we are being bough as a lottery ticket to get into the Scottish Premiership, I'd hate to think what the second prize is.
  19. That makes sense. Thanks. Nothing transformational. A bit more debt, but I suspect still low compared to others in the list. How do they get crowds of 13,000 from a smaller catchment area ?
  20. Not sure that I understand the above. In the first graph, it shows player sales as £0m and the third shows profit on player sales as £4m. Even though the directors remuneration is up, £185k aint going to attract a venture capitalist
  21. Mitch Austin ! He has been spotted. BTW what is O'Ware doing ?
  22. If it is, then why Thistle ? I could be wrong, but I don’t believe that the shareholders were actively looking to sell (if they were then why let JLow become chairman). Therefore they must have approached Thistle when there are cheaper options that would be actively looking to sell. I also don’t buy the loaning kids as there is no history of them doing that between Nice and Barnsley. The one thing that probably makes us unique is the lack of debt, so they can take the pot of cash from the reserves then land us with debt without having to deal with a bank. PS. I would love it if Chien/Conway/whoever were reading this an laughing at our theories
