  1. Are you happy just to troll, now. Or do you actually want me to address this point?
  2. A quick Google search would suggest that's nowhere near an accurate assumption. There are supporters on here who have questioned, criticised and wanted the manager sacked since we got promoted.
  3. Ive not seen you put forward your case.
  4. Well you'll just need to accept it. It's reality. No team has a devine right to be outwith the relegation battle. But some have the infrastructure that it's not even an after thought. We are not one of them. Some have the infrastructure to compete yearly for the final post split place. Motherwell, st Johnstone, Kilmarnock, Dundee. And some are aspiring to be in that group, but know that relegation is always a possibility. Ross County and Hamilton. So where does that leave us. Realistically somewhere between the two groups. So we'd love to be one of five chasing 6th place, but such are the fine lines, relegation is always a possibility. Now ambition is a great thing but reality puts a dampener on it. Because of that group of 4, St Johnstone and Dundee are in a relegation battle this season. No one is exempt due to the league set up. A league of 12 with a split hampers any chance of a team like ours taking stock, stabilising and setting down roots in the top league. Like it or not. We will always be looking at the possibility of relegation. Changing manager won't change that fact. It doesn't matter who manages Thistle, relegation will always be a possibility. Just so it sinks in... A league of 12 with a split will never allow a team of our size to become an established top flight team. Get that aspiration out your heads folks. It can't happen.
  5. In fairness you've wanted him sacked every season we've been up.
  6. Maybe booth isn't fully fit or after his last couple of displays Archie thinks he's done hee haw to merit starting. Doolan is injured, has been all season, he needs an operation, which he's getting in the summer. Added to that, our forwards are so lacking in movement off the ball, he prefers storey to Doolan if playing alongside Sammon. Storey should give more movement off the ball. Osman I've no idea and one I can't understand, folk say Osman hasn't discovered last season's form. I'd happily argue he was shite last season too.
  7. Storey was played upfront with Sammon last night. He was shite. Lawless has been shite this season and carried and injury. Erskine has been shite this season and carried an injury. Spittal I really don't know if he can play in a team that needs to fight and scrap. Of course he knows what his best side is, what a fckin ridiculous statement. The reason he might not be able to play it is due to various circumstances, injury, form, opposition.
  8. At 4-0 the County players were still working harder, chasing faster and tackling harder than our team. As highlighted on Sportsound, we have no leader in the middle of the park. Sammon must be thinking, why am I bothering, the guy chased down everything and got no support at all. So many times in the second half Elliott looked up to cross and Sammon was the only option in the box. Scilly is so slow going down for the first. 8ve no idea what the hell he was flapping at for the second. But the fact the ball had made it that far across the 6 yard line unchallenged is worrying. The third, Keown commits, out of position and is nowhere near winning the ball. The fourth Barton gets skinned. As a team they were gutless. In the middle of the park powederpuff. Storey is a poor man's McConalogue. Pat on the back for Elliott and McGinn who didn't stop, but were continually pushed back and Cargill who at least tried to play the ball on the deck. As opposed to everyone else who just hoofed it aimlessly. We have no centre midfield and no movement up front.
  9. Not Keown for the third, who completely misjudged it and ended up letting the ball drift over his head?
  10. He's ignoring his backroom team? Archie's went rogue!!!
  11. No one asked who is available or who would apply. It's a simple question. "If you want Archie out, who do you want to replace him?" For such a simple question, it seems some folk are really struggling to provide a credible alternative to who we have already in place.
  12. Absolutely not beyond the realms of my imagination. Although I'm unsure what relevance it has to the question so many seem shit scared to answer. Incredible that you think we'd be inundated with CVs, but the forerunners from the Archie Out camp are Scott Paterson and Jackie McNamara!
  13. They also get to sack the manager. Doesn't stop you sharing your opinion on that, however.
  14. Don't put yourself down like that. You must have thought, such n such is the ideal man to get us out of this. Don't worry, the bars been set pretty low with McNamara as one suggetion.
  15. Sorry, woods signed at the end of October. But I'd imagine that would have come out of any January pot.
  16. Of the window, he brought in three players. A like for like, though we have no idea if an increase in wage was required. A contract extension which I'd be the first to call him out on. And a fantastic signing in Woods, who considering he's not even playing in his natural more attacking position has been an astute price of business. Folk can claim we should have signed an experienced centre half to try and rework the Lee Mair magic. But were any available? Were they in our budget? Keown was fit at the time. The fact we signed Cargill instead of an experienced CH suggests none were available.
  17. What he was saying wasn't wrong. Everyone would have that opinion. It's a commonly used figure of speech in football. It's a bit of a leap to assume, that because he said that, he didn't want or look for anyone else.
  18. Which I'm sure you would acknowledge might have been out of the control of the manager?
  19. So you've no idea what money was available. Who we may have tried and failed to get. If Cargill is costing us more than Turnbull. Etc. You could have just said that.
  20. An opinion he has formulated based on absolutely no knowledge of what took place? Too right I am.
  21. No idea. Hence why I'm not arrogant enough to have an opinion on the January window.
  22. You realise you are saying Archie called it wrong, with absolutely no insight into what discussions took place or what strategy was in place. With no idea who we tried to bring in, if anyone.
