I didn't say the squad was fine. At no point have I even come close to suggesting that.
On the flip side, neither have I suggested that we should be recruiting double what the manager thinks he needs.
One of Archie's few failings, giving Lawless so many chances to prove himself in the top league. Last season must have been his last chance and he thought bugger it And ditched him.
I mean, the grand total of 3(?) League goals from 57 appearances over the last two seasons is embarrassing. With those stats I'd say he was over used.
It was a Puma Template from the world Cup. I have no idea why they thought it should have red shorts and black socks.
The promo had Sid & Jackie (players at the time) outside greaves with those Voovoozela things, I'm sure.
The systematic destruction of Firhill has been horrible to watch. Every time with the tag line of providing long term financial security for the Club. And every time the financial stability has hardly lasted a decade.
The funny thing is, if previous Directors hadn't have needed to sell off parts of the ground to cover for their financial mismanagement, we probably would have had enough spare land to rebuild as a 6-8000 capacity stadium with training facilities on site.
Did anyone ask Archie why he doesn't jump around the dugout like a mad man shouting and screaming, waving his arms? As it turns out, according to the tactical geniuses on here, it's the sign of a good manager.
And as I said, it seems those same folk are happy for the team to fail just so they can say "I told you so".
Some will not be happy until Archie is out of a job. Win 3 games in a row they'll go into hiding. First defeat in 4? They'll be shouting as loud as they can.
We just won 3 games in a row, before yesterday.
The knicker wetting (entitlement) on here is embarrassing. It reads like folk want this team to fail, as being able to say "I told you so" is more important than the teams success.
He'll end up there, if he doesn't get himself up to the required level of fitness.
Archies made it clear, he wants his full backs up n down the park. If the lads not up to doing that, then that's the way it goes.
That's completely inaccurate,
We didn't release Lawless. Lawless contract expired at the end of 2017/18 season. He was no longer a Thistle player. We didn't offer him a new contract.
Storey was under contract until the end of 2018/19.
At the end of last season Storey remained a Thistle player, Lawless wasn't. therefore completely different.
