  1. So let's get this straight. Firstly, you think that at least 5% of the votes cast (those needed to affect the outcome) were fraudulent. Secondly, you believe that there was national conspiracy, in the great majority of local authorities, to rig massive numbers of postal votes. Thirdly, you believe that there was hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes cast by impersonators in polling stations. Can you tell us how such a massive conspiracy could be organised and implemented without it being discovered by the thousands of people (mostly public sector employees) who were involved in the process - polling station clerks, counters and returning officers. Then explain why the Yes campaign and the SNP have not uncovered it and taken the necessary legal action. If you cannot (99.99999999% chance), you need to seek help to deal with your mental inability to accept the democratic will of the majority.

  3. Have there been many managers who have transferred? Only Kenny and Fenlon spring to mind.
  4. ^ What a silly comment! There are lot of Rangers supporters in Murphy's constituency.
  5. I have already said many times that I have no time for any of the political parties, including UKIP which is becoming more and more like the BNP. So how does that make them OK in my eyes? My English relatives have been spat and abused in the streets by Nationalists, including children. They are subjected to chants and taunts such as "English go home". In Fife, one voted Yes despite being threatened at the supermarket checkout - "we know where you live". Her husband was dropped from the bowls team by an SNP selector who wrongly assumed that they were No voters. Then there was the graffiti on their wall too. The Nationalists are deliberately fuelling bigotry for their own ends. It's just like the 1930s.
  6. How was the referendum vote rigged? Do you honestly think that the returning officers and their staff were crooked? Or are you just a bad loser who can't accept defeat? ETA - The SNP were defending the seat in Argyll (South Kintyre) and the big swing against the Tories was partly due to their candidate not being local. In Elgin, the SNP again held seat but the independent candidate took a lot of votes from Labour. Not a big protest vote or backlash, just two holds!

Sally's just thinking about the pay-off.
  9. Liberalism should stand for freedom, i.e. the original, now termed "classical", liberalism of Gladstone, Cobden and Bright. Your first point on ideals could apply to most ideologies, including those on the far left e.g. Communist and Nazism (national socialist). It could also apply to liberal ideologues too, e.g. the followers of Rousseau, John Locke, Thomas Paine, and John Stuart Mill. The guillotine is the true symbol of the Enlightenment. Thousands more died on Hitler's guillotines than those of the French Revolution's Terror. The SNP and UKIP have nationalist ideologies. The liberal and socialist ideologies are equally dangerous as the body count shows. Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot murdered tens of millions more than the Nazis and fascist dictators.

  11. ^ When do we start playing in the elite tier? From your list, it seems that Ayrshire is missing out. Kilmarnock and Ayr should get their act together. Do they have lower rated academies?

There is another possibility open to Rangers. They could call McCoist's bluff and put him on gardening leave. A cheaper replacement could then be appointed. The immediate impact on cash-flow would be much smaller, especially if they recruit from within the club.
  13. ^ Lambie would have had Mrs Doolan on the team coach with a midwife. Archie's missed a trick there!

It could depend on the terms of the contract(s). It would surprising if they were sold permanently and a fixed term contract or licence would make more sense. However, that does assume that there is some sensible folk at Ibrox. Some more digging is required on that one.
  16. And the Sevconians think that the BBC is biased against them! ETA - BBC live page on McCoist's "resignation". Enjoy the fun!

Ashley's contracts are with the company which owns the club's brand(s). If the company is liquidated, those contracts would be ripped up. The club and its assets (including the brands) would be sold on by the liquidators. That's what happened with Deadco.

I believe that Ashley would lose those commercial rights if the club is liquidated. He can keep them if the club is put into administration and sold as a going concern. In the short-term, he could lend more cash that is secured on Ibrox and Murray Park. If (or when) the club defaults on the loans or goes into admin, he gets them cheap and sells them on for a very big profit.

^ Liquidation is wishful thinking. Mike Ashley or Laxey Partners can lend them more money that is secured on Ibrox and/or Murray Park. Why do you think the board is in London today - Christmas shopping at Harrods? They will be negotiating a refinancing package.
  20. Congratulations to everyone at Thistle Weir on their achievements in only a year. The Weirs will be hopefully be very satisfied with such an early return on their very generous investment. Does anyone know what needs to be done to get a five or six star rating? Would it require further financial investment?

That's my understanding too but I assume that you mean fast track liquidation. That seems unlikely as the SPFL and SFA would forced by precedent to send Rangers down to the fourth tier or even the Lowland League. That could, or even would, finish them off for good. A more like scenario is administration with a points deduction. However, any new owner would have to settle all footballing debts, including outstanding wages and severance/redundancy payments. So McCoist would still be entitled to his pay-off. ETA - the BBC is reporting that his pay-off would be only £400k - "So either the club pays his salary of £400,000 per year up in full, come to a settlement, or keep him in place for the next 12 months."

BBC - "Rangers will reject Ally McCoist's letter of resignation, BBC Scotland understands. Most of the Scottish Championship club's board are in London for the next 48 hours and no talks are planned." It's obvious that the Directors can't afford to accept it and the fans will be livid. Tonight's live game (on BT Sport) against the Doonhamers should be fun viewing, especially the large empty stands! ETA - RangersMedia Forum is currently unavailable - Meltdown!

It's unlikely that Sally has simply resigned and will walk away for nothing. He's probably given the necessary contractual notice to force the issue. The board will have to decide whether or not to sack him now. If it decides to sack him now, he will be entitled to compensation. The board is now in a difficult position as It probably does not have cash to pay him off. It either has to find the money from Ashley (or another source) or give Sally a public vote of confidence. The fans think McCoist has done "the honourable thing" by offering to resign. If the board has to keep him on, he then becomes a martyr for being the "captain" of the Ibrox Titanic.

My guess is that Sally consulted his lawyers before tendering his resignation. They would do the thinking for him. Do you honestly think that Sally would walk away from a big six figure pay day? That would be a schoolboy error!!! You are right about Sevco but the fact is that a big seven figure loan/investment will be required to avoid admin within the next month or so. IIRC, more cash is needed to pay December's wage bill. Then there are the redundancy payments...
