  1. It could be. There is no doubt of that. Why is there suddenly such a clamour for giving up money generated at Firhill?
  2. How exactly are we being short-changed? Be specific. If you have kids going with you, go to the family section. Don't wear visible colours if you're worried about being knocked back.
  3. Post of the thread. If people can't afford to go, then don't go. Don't bitch and whine about it. You're the beneficiaries of a very generous offer from Thistle, think of fans with kids who support other teams, they don't have any of that.
  4. I go to Firhill to see Thistle. I don't go to see Cowdenbeath, Airdrie, Morton. I go to see Thistle. Everyone gets the same number of home and away fixtures, it's up to them to generate crowd's, not the opponents. That's why 50/50 gates should never return.
  5. Actually, keep the blue and purple tops for this game. It'll annoy the hell out of them.
  6. Our record there is terrible, if we're going to get promoted we have to win these games.
  7. Why is it different because you have children? Adults regularly get fleeced upwards of £17 for first division football. Yet nobody cares about them. These mid-20s people, who choose not to have kids until they are older, are also the "long term future" of the game. They have at least 30 years left in them. Seem's to me that parent's are spoiled at Firhill, and expect the same treatment everywhere.
  8. I didn't mention anything about calling them, just what it said on the website. How exactly is it a valid concern? Different clubs have different pricing schemes, if you can't afford it, don't go.
  9. Why? For stating the facts? PT set their prices, Falkirk set theirs. All the moaning in the world isn't going to change it. They CAN sit in the Family Section, as far as i'm away it doesn't say "Home Fans Only" on the website.
  10. Away fans don't want to come to Firhill right now, because they know they will 99% get a doing. We've all missed games away to the league leaders cos of apathy.
  11. If you can't afford it, don't go. Or sit in the family section.
  12. 7,000 in the "Partick Thistle Official History" which is where i got my team/scorers
  13. Rumour has it the R&Y will return on Saturday.
  14. It was essentially Barcelona v Fraser Forster, similar to Belgium v Alan McGregor and PT v Kenny Arthur.
  15. Not sure the point you are trying to make. The point i was making was that the squad has had a significant overhaul in two years.
  16. Only one player started both that game and the game v Airdrie.
  17. Thistle 8 Motherwell 3 Line-up: Rough, Hansen, Forsyth, Glavin, Campbell, Strachan, McQuade, Coulston, Bone, A. Rae, Lawrie. Sub: T. Rae Goalscorers: Coulston (2), Bone (2), McQuade (2), A. Rae, Forsyth
  18. Tom Hosie has confirmed it was 4-0 at HT. He IS the statto,
  19. I guess they can only do so much when the goal they score the majority of goals into has a nice empty bing behind it. Muirhead also "interacts" with the fans when he scores his penalties. Naturally we don't want players picking up bookings for leaving the pitch though
  20. Every manager get's a dvd of the full game. What i'd really like to see is at the end of the season, regardless of how it finishes up, is to have a dvd of all the highlights of games released. This team has certainly been a pleasure to watch.
  21. Very disappointed with the highlights this week. In weeks gone past we've had 7+ minutes of highlights, this week we only had just over 6. All it showed was the goals and the red card. What happened to Aaron Muirhead's great mazy run? What about the couple of great chances we created at the start of the second half. Maybe i'm being a tad critical, but i'm just surprised we never showcased more of the game in the highlights.
  22. Clyde programme's back in the day were brilliant to read. It was like a football annual rather than a game programme.
  23. We led 7-0 at half time in a league game against Glasgow Thistle on March 10th 1894.
