when did yous see maradona?

Best Jags player probably in my time I'd say would be Nicky Walker. Best in the flesh I'd probably need to say Gascoigne.

Couldn't agree more, that is genius, made me laugh out loud, cheers norge!

At his best looked like he had real potential for a good career, at his worst, he was just dreadful. But 5 caps for Australia no-one can take that away from him, good on him. I'm sure he won one or two of those with us did he not?

Apparently he's planning on retiring from football, and opening a new chain of non-alcoholic drinking establishments, selling soft drinks only. The name of the "pub" is alledgedly going to be The Irn Bru Bar.

I'm too lazy to wikipedia this!! Disappointed at the attitude towards Fox, whom it appears is guaranteed a game by many of your reckoning regardless of form. I just think we've a chance to show we're a club who trusts it's youth, and rewards promising performances with further opportunities. Youngsters won't come to Thistle if they don't believe they can get in the side. I take on board you don't want to ruin a prospects confidence, especially a keeper, as a mistake at that age could prove devastating to his confidence. But a keeper is hardly a position you can bring on for a 30 minute run out, when will he be ready? We need to give him a chance. But I will support Jackie/Hinchy to arrive at the correct decision and I will support it regardless.

I took your advice thanks, the missus was delighted. So much so, she went out and bought me a bottle of whiskey. As she passed me the drink, she didn't tell me which brand it was, said I had to guess. Spose you could call this a Malt-teaser?

Definitely, me and the girlfriend looking forward to a nice relaxing night on the sofa, but she's decided to disappear upstairs and is using her hair-straighteners. Can i take it from this that she thinks it's too curly wurly?

Christian Dailly signing for Morton, this sounds like a case of chinese wispas?

Well I would have thought that should be a given? He's been quoted a few times saying he's looking for Scully to challenge Fox. My point is simply that the boy has had 2 games for us, 2 shut outs, and saved us yesterday. The kids have to have an incentive to train hard, knowing it'll pay off by getting a game. Otherwise, what's the point?
-
Scully has to keep his place - surely? McNamara will be nothing but a hypocrite if he's challenging Scully all season to push Fox for number 1, then drops the kid after a performance like that. Fox's form hasn't been good enough this season, we've all agreed that had we a more experienced reserve keeper, Scott would have been out the team weeks ago. Has to be Scully, absolutely no question in mind. Yeah some of you may say he's too young and will make a mistake, it may well be the case he'll need to come back out the team at some point, but he'll be full of confidence, we want the youngsters to come to Thistle thinking they can break into the team and stay there, not one game a season. What message would that send out? I don't think it's protecting him to drop him, it's harming him, got to expose him to a run in the first team.

That was awful. If it wasn't for Ryan Scully, we would deservedly had lost that game, shameful performance against 10 men, Dundee totally outfought/thought/ran us, delighted to have beaten Dundee, I despise them, and have avoided going there for years, can't stand to give them money, delighted to get it up them tonight, but that was just so bad. Players had no confidence in each other, passing woeful, hutton wanting far too much time on ball, and we were toothless in attack with the exception of maybe Erskine. I actually thought the ref was good, he was strong, could have gave Erskine second yellow for elbowing McGregor, Dundee fans baying for blood calling for penalties and bookings, and he was strong, thought he was least of our worries. Delighted for Ryan Scully, one or two unconvincing moments with ball at feet, or knee should I say, but he was otherwise outstanding, well done young man. Thought the 352 up until sending off looked good, Paton played well right side of back 3, but we thought we'd pish it after they got the sending off, and we were very lucky to win that match. Anyways, bring on the County.

I hope the scouts haven't been to last 2 games

Disappointed not to win at home, not really interested in drawing with Falkirk at home. Like the guy further up the thread, I also heard people around me moaning when Hutton announced Motm, I thought he was excellent. First hour, his performance was a masterclass, switching the play, lovely trajectory on his laser guided passes, just a fantastic player, went off the boil a wee bit last half or so, but I felt the whole game was becoming a bit disjointed and unorganised, when Hutton stopped getting on the ball and we stopped playing through him, we sufferred with this long ball pish aimlessly into the channels. But the boy is class, how he cannot get a game in front of Edu or McCulloch I'll never, without doubt for me he's a future Scotland player. I blame Fox for free kick, plain and simple, keeper shouldn't be beaten at the side he's covering. Well struck free kick, but you can't let a goal in on your side. Thought Paton played well defensively, and offerred good support on the overlap for O'Donnell, in the first half particularly. Our centre backs for the 2nd time this season failed to control big El Alagui, don't think we won a header against him all day. Thought Sinclair was really poor, woeful passing and decision making, didn't support Cairney enough. Hutton class, Rowser his usual tireless self, lovely goal, I just love Rowser. O'Donnell had good first half, but as already mentioned, they seemed to swap their back line around a bit as Scobbie was being annihilated. But they looked like they got wise to O'Donnell and doubled up on him, and he was a lot less effective, and I was actually in support of him being hooked, but looking back, we probably missed his pace. Cairney played ok, nothing major right/wrong in his performance. Doolan was pretty anonymous except for a great header off the post from a smashing Sinclair corner, think that may have been his only shot on goal. Elliot improved in the second half, still looks like he's not always got control of the ball, but he was direct and gave Dods a good run for his money, still need more penetration though. need some more urgency, too many passes around the box. Decent game but more dropped points. Got a wee feeling we'll win at Dens though to get the show back on the road.

Me and my brother were in london for his 21st 3-4 years ago and went to see Palace vs Bristol in the play offs at Selhurst, finished 2-1 Bristol though But I remember joining in on a few "EEEEEAAAGGGLLLLEEESSS, EEEEEAAAGGGLLLEEESSS!!" chants. Also, the song thistle have started playing after we score "Glad all over", Palace played that when they scored that day, I don't know if they still do Marcus?

that stat can't be true we've horsed them a few times over last few years, no way we average like half a goal at home to falkirk? Can't be true surely?

Pleased to see Super Dan included, one of my favourites! Suprised chico only being inducted just now thought he'd have been included a while ago

It is easy to over react following a defeat. I was delighted following the Morton win, but equally disappointed today. We are an absolute joke at defending set pieces. This time 6 months ago, I thought Scott Fox was the best kept goalkeeping secret in Scotland, but he's fast losing my confidence and patience, too many mistakes, too many crosses he should have taken. Needs to improve vastly. Paton can go anytime, at times sweet right foot, but I hope todays change (Erskine at Right mid, O'Donnell at right back) will potentially signal the end of Paton's career at Thistle, his lack of improvement on his left foot means he does not deserve to be a full time professional. Got a sweet right foot for maybe half a dozen crosses a season, but punt him, absolute dud. I was talking to someone recently, honestly can't remember who, but they told me he's chucking football unless he's playing SPL in a year or 2 because he can earn twice as much with his dads engineering company. Well Paul, rap it now son, you are nowhere near good enough. Paddy Boyle was dreadful, and he's SPL, but your absolute bollocks mate, so chuck and go and work with your dads engineering company if you want because you've no chance. Archie and Balatonni, no pace, and they don't command centre forwards. 2 week ago, aye we won 5-0, going forward we were excellent, but 5-3 or 5-4 would have been better, because Jackson and McDonald ran they 2 ragged. This was Sinclairs worst game for us, he was awful, but he's been great so far so I will forgive him the odd shocker. Midfield, Cairney was good I felt, Rowser, well look at my signature, for me, Rowser can do no wrong, he closes down tirelessly, but he needs to do a wee bit more on occasions. Hutton was pish first half but second half his range of passing was class. O'Donnell was pretty anonymous I felt. Doolan/Stewart/Elliot, I have nothing to say about them today because I have no memory of the 3 of them touching the ball. Spineless absolute crap away from home, sick of diddy teams beating us. How can Grant Murray look like Franz Beckanbuer against us? Sort it Jackie because this pish won't do away from home, garbage mate.
-
I'm pretty sure you compare any 2 teams and these stats will be similar. If we play anything like we did against Morton we'll have too much firepower for them

You think Rooney told his old man to get a few quid on him being sent off? Yeah, absolute must win tomorrow, cannot wait, cmon bonny scotland
