Apologies for needing this clarified, but where are we regarding fan ownership exactly?

    My understanding is:

That the PTFC Trust was awarded the shares.

That the PTFC Trust is only a few people.

That the PTFC Trust now has a decent and trusting cooperation arrangement with TJF.

But that  TJF, which is the organisation with fan membership (and the capability of raising essential funds), doesn't actually have any ownership.

That any money raised by TJF going to the club will be a gift.

That TJF has very limited say in the running of the club.

That as s member of TJF I am in no way an owner of the club.

    Is this correct?

This explains what is proposed to happen soon

A commanding performance after we scored. Special mention for Mitchell who pulled off a good save at 0-0 and then in the final minute to keep what could be a very important clean sheet. Brownlie and Fitzpatrick also deserve a mention. Not a failure in our side tonight. We can't get complacent, we don't want to do a Peterborough.

Thanks to @Grubber8468 for getting me the ticket for the John Lambie stand.

The guy who ran onto the pitch with the flare was not smart or funny.:red_card:

I thought I’d seen you on the telly, glad you got your normal spot.

Was a great game to watch, BBC (Jagszone crashed 10 minutes in after loads of issues with sound) stated the team is playing with an edge to them, something that wasn’t there with McColl, I’d agree on that, they work as a real unit, and the pace going forward was missing prior to Doolan coming in.

Ties not over but we’ve had 11 clean sheets from 16 games whilst scoring 34 goals will have any opposition worried.

I see it’s 80p for 15 minutes… Many years ago there used to be local boys offering to “watch yer motor, mister?” …. Much cheaper in those days!

Only if you paid them, if you didn’t it could cost you 4 tyres

  4. Terrible news regarding his father, lovely touch to see both sets of players wearing black armbands as a show of respect to Kris.
The new banner shown on 9 minutes another lovely touch to show Kris the fans are with him in this difficult time, Brian Graham,s interview at the end was a touch of class too

After Ayr had an early chance that Mitchell saved easily Thistle dominated the ball for the next 15 minutes or so we scored a very good goal then seemed to stop doing what we had been doing. Imo we were to casual and sloppy in our play paces being misplaced and we could not seem to hold onto the ball for any length of time. We managed to go in still ahead, even though Ayr had a lot of the ball once we scored i don't remember Mitchell having to do much. I hoped we would come out in the second half and show more of the play we started the game with, unfortunately it was a continuation of the last 25 minutes of the first half. Ayr did not look like scoring until Brownlie gave the ball away. We did not really get back into the game until with about 5 or so minutes to go,but by then to late.

I said a week or so back when others were talking about the title we had to cement our play off place first. By the time we next play we could be 5th in the table.

It was good to spend the game with @partickthedog who decided to come down to my level for the full game. Also good to speak to @Norgethistle safe journey back tomorrow.

Great to have a chat with you yesterday, even with a poor result my nephew has had a fantastic trip over, and meeting Dools and the players on Friday too was a great touch by the club

Looks like we are in for an exciting run in given 7 teams are competing for 4 places. I am sure that someone out there will have a spreadsheet that will tell us how it will all end up but I expect a few twists and turns.

    Queens Park (5): Thistle (A), Accies (H), Ayr (A), Morton (A), Dundee (H)

    Dundee (6): Arbroath (A), Raith (H), Morton (H), ICT (A), Cove (H), Queens Park (A)

    Ayr (5): Morton (H), Thistle (A), Queens Park (H), Raith (H), ICT (A)

    Thistle (5): Queens Park (H), Ayr (H), Accies (A), Arbroath (H), Raith (A)

    Morton (6): Ayr (A), Accies (H), Dundee (A), Raith (H), Queens Park (H), Cove (A)

    ICT (6): Raith (H), Arbroath (H), Cove (A), Accies (A), Dundee (H), Ayr (H)

    Raith (7): Accies (H), ICT (A), Dundee (A), Arbroath (H), Morton (A), Ayr (A), Thistle (H)

I think it’ll go like this

Queens park will get 7 points (lose to us and Ayr) draw with Dundee

Ayr will get 6 points (lose to us, beat QP draw remaining)

Morton will get 9 points (Draw Ayr, Raith & Dundee, beat Accies & Cove)

ICT will get 6 points (Draw Raith, Ayr, Arbroath, beat Cove)

Raith will get 4 points (Draw ICT, Arbroath, Morton & Ayr)

Dundee will get 11 points (Draw Morton, Queens park, beat Raith, ICT & Cove)

Thistle will get 11 points (Draw Arbroath & Accies win the rest)

    Dundee - 64

    Queens park - 61

    Thistle - 59

    Ayr - 55

    Morton - 52

    ICT - 48

    Raith - 45

  7. Building a stand or terracing on the bing is nothing short of a vanity project and a complete waste of cash.

Id rather any money available for the ground was spent maintaining and bringing up to scratch the current stands we have that cope easily with the attendances of 99% of our games.

Moving from Firhill and from North West of Glasgow would see us going the same way as Clyde, Hamilton and Airdrie and basically kill the club, we have a location handy for multiple means of public transport, with shops, bars and food establishments within walking distance of the ground.

Thanks  AFK. Wherever they go (I trust not Firhill) they will be paying a six figure sum to share the ground.  Add in the cost of the works to Lesser Hampden, and I  suspect that they will be lucky  to break even next season.  Don't know if they still have any funds from the Hampden sale, but playing in the Premier League will bite into Haughey's millions.

There is no longer a requirement to have 6000 seats. The stadium QP are building actually meets the requirements for the top league

Only two other games close to that. Rangers Archives have a clip of a League Cup game from the early 60s, but haven't shared it despite a couple of requests. We always live in hope of finding more. You can find snips of some of our boys on international duty.

@robphil It seems we have, erm, borrowed your Johnny MacKenzie article from the Telegraph (see 'Scrapbook' tab) A small world - and thank you!

  10. Quite emotional watching that knowing my Dad (who still attends) and my late Granda are both in that crowd.

Is this the only footage of that era that shows those greats.

    Lineup (From Thistle Archives)

    1 Willie Smith

    2 Jimmy McGowan

    3 Bobby Gibb

    4 Andy Kerr

    5 Jimmy Davidson

    6 Alex Wright

    7 Johnny Mackenzie

    8 Laurie Thomson

    9 Joe Hogan

    10 George Smith

    11 Tommy Ewing

Well over half a dozen true legends that will be or are on my list for future Thistle Pins

Change to what - Someone who has never managed a Team ?

    Like Archie or Jackie Mac?

Every management change is a gamble, and as I stated I would have given him the Ayr game to see whether the change in performance was due to management or playing in front of 45000.

  12. Based on form and our points per game ratio, especially since the 1st quarter I think a change was needed.

    Even splitting season in 2

First 12 league matches I believe we got 23 points from 36, next 11 we got 10 points from 33.

Would I have announced it on Sunday night - No

After Sunday I would probably have given him the Ayr game, but if he had to go before I’d have done it on Monday at lunchtime.

I like McColl as a manager, and as a guy to talk to, I think he’s done a lot for us in both terms and we will look back on his tenure with fondness.

I think though for whatever reason the team and himself had got stale, and change was needed sooner rather than later as we were no longer stalling but starting to slip

Maybe rather than count up who drank what you could ask your fellow board members if they think that the members of TJF would like to know what the f is going on ?

    We’ve issued a statement

Record factory event today with board members pished was embarrassing , few hours later management sacked

glad McCall is away 100% correct but the shandy drinking TJF members who where wasted today , I hope that wasn’t done by anyone of them tonight or they will be taken to the cleaners

As I’m one of the board, and was there with 6 other members of the board, I can assure you none of us were ‘wasted’ but if you’d like to name who, plus who you are we can have a further discussion on it.

I've never been so worried about an embarrassing score and don't even want to put to print what I imagine it could be.

In any case, Me, my brother and my nephew are travelling 350 miles to see our team.

I'm using my 'one-time', for this game.

On a lighter note, will the Thistle fans still go to the usual pubs before the game and how will we travel to and from Ibrox?

I'll be at my Uncles in the Southside but would travel to Maryhill or other, for a pint if it made sense.

460 miles for me, fortunately 310 I’m sitting on a plane.
