  1. It was like meeting a hero.
  2. MD20/20 in a Fanta bottle then. Simple.
  3. Pints in Glasgow, bottle of MD20/20 (orange jubilee) on the train, taxi to ground. Sorted.
  4. The pitch inspection is 25 hours before kick-off.
  5. It was worse earlier on. Let's hope the snow is as on/off as it was earlier and it's not on for a prolonged period of time. Just over three and a half hours until inspection time...
  6. http://mylivestreams.com/webcam/central-park-football-stadium-racewall-stock-car-racing-streaming-webcam-cowdenbeath-scotland/10916.html That's a live stream of the Cowdenbeath pitch. Snow seems to have picked up in the half-an-hour I've been awake. Hopefully they can help clear it again if it's not too bad.
  7. The difference is they had four games in hand and are pushing for the play-offs. Cowdenbeath are not and only have one game (against us) to catch up on, and there are two mid-week slots left in the season. It was Brechin's pitch that was the problem, and there's nothing wrong with Cowdenbeath's pitch other than there's a lot of snow falling on it and they don't have USH when it freezes.
  8. Just need to hope HMRC approve it all. Points deduction imminent if it goes ahead, which is good news for us, and it's good news that they're not going bust of course. Everyone's a winner.
  9. That's the thing - Bannigan played two or three games for us before going out on loan, and on loan at Ayr he was very successful. Scully hasn't had that chance (which really is a shame - a loan spell for him would probably do him wonders, even if he were to concede goals, he'd gain experience and get game-time which is what matters (actually, according to Wikipedia he was on loan at Petershill a few season ago but never made an appearance)). Bannigan's now a starter in our side but he's earned his place and shown how capable he is. That Queen's Park game still haunts me (until we won, of course) but Scully has had one or two decent performances; I just wish we had another option too. I'd expect Scully to start on Friday and that will be the game to judge him on. If he performs well, aye, fair enough, he deserves to continue to play - but if it's a poor performance I really hope Jackie has something up his sleeve.
  10. Jeju United is where Adrian Madaschi plays.
  11. Great idea. Let's build a temporary stand for the game against Airdrie and not use it.
  12. Hey guys. Short for fives at Scotstoun this evening at 7pm, so if anyone is available at this time for a game, attendance would be greatly appreciated. We're currently needing three more bodies. I can close this thread when it's run its course (tonight) or I can keep it open to use as a go-to if others are short for games.
  13. Dundee and St. Johnstone afaik. A really classy idea.
  14. Muirhead confirmed on the official site. And that's Lawless confirmed too.
  15. Cheers. Yeah, I know, but doing this much today saves more faffing about tomorrow. McGrotty's contract expires in 2012 - which is why he's in the expiring contracts section. Nothing has been confirmed about his departure yet.
  16. Right, I've taken the liberty of doing this again. I think everything on it is correct and up-to-date and if not I can edit it and add in new information. It would maybe be a good idea to copy and paste this onto the first post of this thread, or a new topic could be opened - you decide - but this is the squad list for next season. If it does go on the main post, it would be good if you could keep it up-to-date and in the same format, but I can stick it in it's own thread if needs be (I can close it so it doesn't get messy, but I can edit it and it can be pinned at the top) Partick Thistle Squad List 2012/2013 Goalkeepers Scott Fox (24) (May 2013) Ryan Scully (19) (May 2013) Defenders Alan Archibald (34) (May 2013) Conrad Balatoni (21) (May 2014) Willie Kinniburgh (27) (May 2013) Jonathan Lindsey (19) (May 2013) Stephen O'Donnell (20) (May 2013) Aaron Muirhead (22) (May 2014) - Signed from Annan Athletic Paul Paton (24) (May 2013) Aaron Sinclair (21) (May 2014) Midfielders Stuart Bannigan (19) (May 2013) Jamie Campbell (20) (May 2013) Simon Donnelly (37) ? 17. 100% agree. If we don't win promotion either outright or via the play-offs it will be a terrible season.
  18. The streets are always packed on Danes Drive by those who live there. There's a reasonable sized car park in the complex and the option of Victoria Park's red ash pitches. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they used the sand 11-a-side pitch for parking too. The streets are busy but there are still places to park within a five minute walk from the stadium.
  19. Every half an hour after seven too, yes, but I don't know the time that rugby is played. I assumed it could be playing in the afternoon too. If it takes you fifteen/twenty minutes to walk there you must be taking the wrong route or taking a step back for every two steps forward. I concede the pub point, but it's plausible to get off at Jordanhill and walk from there. There are a few more pubs there. They've recently opened up even more parking spaces towards the 5-a-side football pitches and if they need to they'll be able to use the red ash at Victoria Park.
  20. I'd love a game against Derby County, home or away, but I doubt that'll happen.
