That was an amazing performance tonight, Night & Day compared to Friday. For 12 minutes there I believed... it was almost '67 all over again!

Nope, think I've been quite restrained. I'll always remember the "Meet the Board" night from a couple of years ago when Gordon was called out on his treatment of Kenny Arthur. His response was breathtakingly arrogant and seemed to miss the point that while every Jags fan is entitled to their opinions (positive or negative), letting them intrude on your professional capacity as a board member is just plain wrong. Wether you think Kenny Arthur was a good or a bad player for Thistle is up to you, that doesn't justify going out of your way to snub him as he's about to leave the Club that he's served for 11 years. That shows the petty side of the man.

I have met him actually on a number of occasions. I think it was the face, coupled with his machiavellian streak. In short, a petty bureaucrat who could be quite ruthless on occasion.

To be fair to Dungdee, they gambled that the spending spree would buy them promotion and thereby solve any debt problems. They bet on black and it came up red.

Absolutely, the biggest problem the club has had over the last decade or so is the Board. All other problems have stemmed from their decision making, their attitude to the fans etc, etc. Until something can be done about them, the pattern is just going to repeat itself... Well, until we go bust that is. Which probably isn't too far away judging by recent events...

That was the impression I got even before your post Honved, making me all the more anxious to read your report. Guess I'll just have to be patient...

I can't say I'm that surprised by Alan Cowan's response, not because I think the original email was abusive- it wasn't - but rather that this is his standard response whenever he comes in for blunt criticism. I don't see that the original email was out of order, it was articulate but blunt, there were no personal attacks and frankly Cowan should behave with more dignity. Not that he ever will though...

I concur, felt that the red shorts kinda spoiled the overall effect of the 2003/2004 strip. too many hoops on the socks too!
