  1. The best view of the penalty claim is the second camera angle (looking down the centre of the pitch). It looks like McPake just jumps in the air and falls over - there doesn't seem to be any foul committed at all!
  2. Absolutely fantastic, Jags! Have a safe trip back up the A9,Derek!
  3. Talking of County, do you think we could sign any of their players. Not sure if he's out of contract but Graham Carey might be worth a shout?
  4. I'll play devil's advocate then. I thought the ref actually didn't have such a bad game....and he was certainly a major factor in making it so exciting. It's probably easy to say that when you win though! There were numerous (what looked like) fouls he let go but I really think on balance it probably suited us as it helped us keep the pressure on. I'm pretty sure he played the advantage for the penalty that never was (given). The controvery at Dens last weekend sounded like a similar situation so I am not surprised that, when the chance had passed, he did not award the spot kick. All the same, I bet he was releieved when we scored shorly afterwards! Archie's booking was for dissent, I am pretty sure. He had a right go at the ref.
  5. Like it! How about a rather smart tartan Wolsey scarf by way of an accessory: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wolsey-AB211-Mens-Scarf-Size/dp/B0063C5FEA/ref=sr_1_3?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1325799688&sr=1-3 Or even this "old school one": http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wolsey-AB221-Mens-Scarf-Size/dp/B0063C5MCU/ref=sr_1_9?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1325799688&sr=1-9
  6. Great performance. Paton had a fantastic game. Hutton: very composed too except for his "rush of blood to the head" moment that cost us a goal. Balatoni put in a great shift and handled Wetherson pretty well - which was a real test. Rowsons goal was a cracker - I must say I thought the chances were that was going in the clyde but for once he hit that target! Morton looked pretty short of ideas. I think the game was won in midfield. The ref was pretty average I thought. He made a few baffling decisons but at least he didn't pander to the likes of Jackson who must be the easiest guy to push over. Ever.
  7. Can't argue with most of what has been written. Professionally done, in what were clearly very difficult conditions. All of the goals were terrific, especially Erskine's. Cairney, as usual, was really good. I thought Stewart had a decent game too - a lot of running and nice wee flicks and passes around the box. I was willing him to get a goal but it wisnae to be!
  8. I'm not sure, but it could be that he's trying to attract attention to himself (and succeeding) in order to raise his own profile. Each time one of these stories comes up he gets to proclaim that his team is at the top of the division. When he says he uses the accusations to spur on his team, it could be his way of making out he's an expert at "mind games" like some top managers? Hibs are looking for a new manager and a couple of other SPL sides could also be in the same boat soon enough.
  9. I guess Adams took McNamara's comments as a personal slight ie County are top because they've got a big budget and not necessarily because Adams is the best manager. I suspect Adams is the type to get easily wound up.
  10. Chick Young, on the radio the other day, seemed to suggest that he'd been chatting with Davie Weir.....and then he backtracked like mad when he realised he might get DW into bother for cooperating with the BBC. LOL.
  11. This photo appears to show that there was contact between Douglas' hand and Erskine's foot...... Evidence....
  12. That was fantastic! We had quite a bit of good fortune but Douglas Rae, Richard Wilson, Calmac etc you boys took one hell of a beating! I went along with some Morton supporting mates and we sat in the away end. It took considerable effort not to grin too much!
  13. If you are planning on getting the top framed, go for a small size otherwise you will have to get a massive frame and it will look a bit daft.
  14. Greetings All. Hoping to make my first ever trip to Palmerston tomorrow. I was wondering what the ground is like, where the away fans are accommodated, seated or terrace etc. Any info would be great!
