  1. That just ****s the co-efficient even more!
  2. Is it not the case then that the articles as they stand were rarely, if ever followed as shareholders were never consulted on every cough and splutter of what went on at the club?
  3. And how was that ever going to be possible with the way the shares are kindly divvied up amongst the artists formerly known as 'custodians'? The immediate future of our club has been put in doubt by a load of ifs and buts and scaremongering.
  4. It's inevitable what they will do and sadly it is quite understandable.
  5. A potty brained SFL idea and one that they wanted to test out using PTFC. I can't see it becoming a regular thing..
  6. I would simply fear for our future with or without them. They may not be there in body but they will forever be there in spirit with the shares they hold.
  7. A board of any sort might be a bonus after today.
  8. PTFC is a business. It needs to be run like one and not treated like some blazer-gaining plaything as it historically has and may well be again in the sorry future that lies ahead.
  9. They will walk. They have no option when their hands are tied by the sorry state of affairs that PTFC Ltd is ruled by.
  10. More likely to be writing their resignation from the Board letters...
  11. The holding of AGMs was to be amended in to the articles of association.
  12. A dark day for PTFC brought about by everything that blights Scottish Football. The let's form a committee to decide a committee to appoint a committee attitude has brought the club to it's knees. The bowling club mentality that has ruled over us for too long continues to pull the strings and we are now staring at an Armageddon worse than anything seen before. We will look back in time on the history of PTFC and realise that Save the Jags was the worse thing that ever happened to PTFC in the way that it allowed the club to be divvyed up. How dare anyone wish to run PTFC like a REAL business.. how dare they! Some people should be utterly ashamed of themselves today. PTFC RIP
  13. New ideas are all good and well but what it needs is for the fans to step up to the plate and get involved in them. From discussions I've had in the past the club have historically been fearful of attempting anything out with the norm as the take-up of things has usually led to them ending up out of pocket or with lots of excess stock. This idea is one that can be done on an individual basis and not lead to this situation. It needs the fans to now get involved in it and show that there is things that can be done, without an initial outlay and the fear of not making much from it due to apathy. As you say, there is many places this could go like T Shirts, mugs, mousemats etc.
  14. East Fife were seemingly interested in Grehan as well but went for McQuade instead. Hopefully The Greek gets sorted with a club soon.
  15. Alan Little's gone out on loan from Rangers but doubt there'll be any more with their lack of transfer activity!
  16. It's quite apparent that we are at a crucial point in the history of our club and Friday could very well be another Armageddon brought about by the creators of the many other Armageddons we have witnessed. I trust in JJ. I'd rather live with the people we have at the helm just now and gamble on the fact that they are 'Thistle-minded' than return to a situation where the 'custodians' of the club- who suddenly earned their custodianship, have any say whatsoever in the running of PTFC. If the Jags Trust suddenly grow balls and choose not to abstain or sit on the fence in this one and it brings about the beginning of the end of our club it will be a fitting end for the Trust in itself. PTFC is a business. It should be run professionally, like a business, and not treated like some kind of glorified bowling club as it has in the past. If as JJ has pointed out this is merely the club trying to get the mess they have inherited in order then I shall be voting for the amendments in the belief that the current set-up is better for PTFC than the shambles we've seen in the past.
  17. Who is ripping up Icelandic football with five goals in six games!!
  18. This looks to me that an almost Armageddon-like situation is just around the corner. The thought of Coco and Co suddenly utilising their custodianship of the club to drive away the ones who seem to be doing a decent job of running the show, albeit with this 'conflict of interest' situation in place is horrific.
  19. PayPal using [email protected] is the preferred payment option for this offer, but you can also pay over the phone by credit or debit card on 0871 402 1971, by cheque made payable to Partick Thistle Football Club or in cash at Firhill Stadium.
  20. Do you think there's anything in the theory that Flannigan plays better when he's not playing right next to the fans? He always seems to look a different player in the second half and can't kick his arse and makes very poor decisions in the first.
  21. They removed them to allow four queues to form to try to speed things up. A sign to let folk know about this wouldn't do any harm but it seems to me that having to ring things through the till appears to be more of a problem than the servers. A better idea may be to have one person in control of the till and the servers serving? Everything about the catering is shabby.
  22. Perfect summary. We certainly had an off day yesterday, and as you say we've seen nothing so far to suggest that there is a team capable of running away with this league this season. If we can get a settled defence and sort the midfield shape out we'll have as good a chance as anyone.
