  1. If this plan is succcessful then I'm I'll be turning my back on Scottish football once and for all. I'm sickened by the spineless lack of integrity shown by a load of clubs. There should be no negotiating, no deals, no fudging the issue. If Rangers are in any league other than the SFL 3rd this season, and I'm being generous to them, then the games a bogey and I'm out.
  2. Must say i felt as though I had been mugged paying £2.40 for a packet of crisps and a small syrupy 'coke' flavoured drink!.
  3. Had a look at the Blyth Spartans website to see how they got on in their next game after playing us. Noticed they had a game coming up against Norton & Stockton Ancients. Anybody know of any more odd team names in the uk?
  4. Great to see that footage. What a fantastic weekend it was. My lad still has his Metz scarf hanging on his bedroom wall - and he's now 24! Memories not to be forgotten include, some guy on the bus singing Elvis Costello's "Good Year for the Roses" as the sun came up over the French countryside on the way to the game (who was that guy?), the Jags support being applauded towards the the end of the game by the French home support behind the goal, the memory of the non stop Jags singing of Red n' Yella army, and the 'parade' back to town with supporters waving Thistle flags while standing on the bumper of French motors, and of course, the good nature of the French locals who made us all extremely welcome.
  5. Well, I go to most of the away games. In recent weeks the sound systems at Palmerston and Dingwall, to name a few, were of better sound quality. I'm all for hearing the Thistle songs, I can even live with the Focus, Hocus Pocus, sounds of the seventies track but it's painful on the ears due to our tannoy system.
  6. Aw naw, please don't encourage them to play more tunes. Listening to any kind of music at Firhill is an assault on the ears as the sound system has got be one of the poorest I've heard at any ground.
  7. I'm just relieved we won't be getting humped by someone like Wick Academy!!
  8. Can I just say that although it's rare for me to swear, it is sometimes appropriate in the right circumstances. For example, BermondseyBoy (re #164), you can get tae fcuk and crawl back under your stone.
  9. Lennythistle, sorry to hear the behaviour your family were subjected to from what I hope were a small minority of Jags 'fans'. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, to hear of this sort of thing going on is just soul destroying. There can be no excuse, and I hope those involved hang their heads in shame when they read your post. It used to be fun supporting Thistle at away games, but unfortunately these days it can be just as embarrassing off the park as on it.
