  1. Hope a few more coaches of other teams are saying that as the season progresses!
  2. Now you are really going to be shocked here but I totally agree with you. There is a scheme on the go this season where kids U16 get a free season ticket. So a parent could have got that, paid tenner for Saturday, for the kid, saw the two games then he kid got in free for today's two games. Then get in free for 18 league matches. So the tenner spent would cover a total of 22 games. That's less that £0.50p a match. Just don't think anyone can complain, or at least should complain about that. Only thing I'd say is I'm not sure it was badly organised, just may be didn't meet the expectation some had.
  3. Optimism, it's a terrible thing. Good to hear so many people are liking how were are shaping up, either on here or other sites. Getting off to winning starts in our forth coming cup ties are a must. Will set us up perfectly for Falkirk at Firhill.
  4. Talk from Greaves staff was there was going to be new merchandise for coming season. Guess time will tell if that actually happens.
  5. Lawless seems to be the form forward of pre season so far!
  6. So we all know Ballantyne is a big Blue Nose. He was making it clear he was going to vote YES. His mother (the money behind the Ballantyne's owning Airdrie is then forced to remind her son that it was Murray who was heavily involved in liquidizing Airdrionians FC. She then tells her boy that under no circumstances will her boy be voting YES. He then spits the dummy and a family disagreement follows in which he is told by his mum that he will lose control of club if he goes and votes YES. He then doesn't vote and a family member takes his place and the NO vote is made. Now, was it not Airdrie who played "Pretty in Pink" when we launched the pink away top a few years ago? I see a chance of some revenge. Lance, how about as Airdrie warm up on Saturday we get "Tie your mother down" and "Your mother should know" played over the PA? Fans could also waive dummies in the air, as Airdrie take to the field! I wonder if a note was produced at the SFL meeting on Friday.."please excuse Jim from attending, he's been a naughty boy and his mummy has grounded him"
  7. you now like Jaggy MacBee and a post where you mention kids and not BRATS !!!! Shit , I must be still drunk from Friday night!
  8. Are you going alone or taking kids. There is also a family section.
  9. Think we all think that, but we have the answer we so badly wanted . Time to put this all behind us and back the team. They need it.
  10. So who did vote YES? Come out, come out, where ever you are !
  11. OK, it has been a shit pre season but through it all, Jackie has gone about putting a squad together that could well challenge this coming season. Now is the time to unite behind the Jags, put the stress of the last few weeks behind us and back the team like we have never done before. Took a few stressful days and nights to get there but....PROUD TO BE A JAGS FAN!
  12. NOW. CAN WE ALL BE FRIENDS AND CELEBRATE!
  13. Of words, wisdom, speak you do.
  14. Oh FFS lighten up. Not take a joke!
  15. Does he have to have one ? He just thinks differently from others. Not every supporter thinks the club has voted YES. He has dared to state what he believes. Nothing more, nothing less. I might not agree, but he does not deserve to be picked upon. Any way, thought you'd be too busy wondering what Sid wore at the closed door game today, than be bothering about who voted YES or NO in such a trivial thing as the future of the scottish game!
  16. MWM - Jags stated prior to vote we would say NO to current proposal. Maybe, they feel they don't need to reconfirm that either. In my view given last nights statement that would be wrong, but may be that is their stance. Falkirk and Morton did also say how they would vote. You seem to be trusting them that they did as they said they would but not trusting Jags!
  17. Forgetting the obvious impact a YES vote will have on our own fans and that of rivals during the season, we are 1 week away from the first pre season tournament at Firhill. Now we obviously picked Celtic so to get a few bums on seats and generate as much money as possible. Every one of the teams i would imagine will get a slice of the gate receipts, so IF we have voted YES, we could find there are more players at Firhill next weekend than there will be supporters! The tournament could end up being a very costly exercise as opposed to the money spinning one we set it out to be.
  18. Hi Lance. I agree the record report is nothing but speculative. Sadly so is our statement. Is a clear statement from the club too much to ask?
  19. If they are tabled on monday then Beattie and Maxi certainly won't be there. They are on holiday now. Really don't see what all the big fuss is for a few. The club issued a statement saying they want change but would vote NO to the proposal for Newco in div 3, prior to the meeting yesterday. Nothing changed. For the few complaining they never heard yesterday we said NO, (and yes the statement should have been better), where did it say we said YES? also I think the subsequent statements that have came out from various clubs stating all first division clubs want all 42 teams involved in restructure, means SPL2 is a non starter. Or at least that is how I interpret it.
  20. I have heard only one div 1 club voted them into div 1. The name I've heard is not that of PTFC,
  21. Juan, it is starting to look like a boycott. The game in this country has been gubbed for some time. It has been corrupt, it has always benefited the top table. The SPL has been a closed shop from the day it started. I wanted my club to play no part in this recent disgrace. As long as they don't then they will get my support. I'd argue there are far more grounds to boycott the national side and all those teams who do vote for this proposal than there are to walking away from Thistle. Jags still have to vote NO, I accept that, but I believe they will. If the proposal changes , then I hope we get to hear what it is BEFORE next Friday and then make up our own minds if it is in the best interest of the game. As things stand, I believe the club deserve our support.
  22. What I don't understand is what appears to be a change in stance from a good few. We all wanted the club to say NO to the proposal put in front of us. THEY DID. Now some are saying that if it happens regardless then they still walk away! Scottish Football needs to change, not one of us doubts that. The club, in my view, have stood against the blackmail and intimidation that it was faced with. As far as I'm concerned we should all be backing it now and putting pressure on the likes of Regan and Doncaster to go and be replaced with men who do care about Scottish football. Not taking action against our own club that could fionish it. Had it not stood up against the current proposal I, like so many, was walking away. They did what we wanted. Why then, can't we all show support?
  23. Well said Ally. Now Regan, shut the f**k up and make it Div 3.
  24. I still believe if it happens and we don't vote for it then the club should be fully supported. That was what we as supporters asked for and as long as the club do not bow to the pressures being placed on them by the recent proposal and the likes of Regan, Doncaster and Longmuir, then we should all accept that.
